These videos are great! Thanks for sharing; it made my evening.

Should we expect to see Spaceship Earth or The Seas with Nemo soon? (I'm sure the kids would love Test Track, too. :lookaroun)

We were actually going to do Test Track this year, a real hokey version of it, more for laughs. We didn't have time for that or the boat part of Mexico, which we had a creek for and some funny ideas.

But we'd love to see a few others try this out, its a lot of fun, but we had techno wizards which made it possible.

I used to do these types of things as a kid. I once made a whole model of EPCOT using flour and water. I had all the buildings and used x-mas lights underneath them to illuminate them. Had a computer reading the descriptions of all the rides from when they used to have the cool brochure you'd get when you entered the park. It was awesome! YOur videos really brought me back! Great job!

What program did you use to link the music, lights, and fireworks together??

I always wanted to do that around Christmas time.

Thanks again!

Thank you! Flower and water ?!? I would have loved to see that!

For the lights we used 48 channels of Light-o-rama christmas light controllers and strung a bunch of lights around trees, poles, gardens, etc. as well as the "leaping lights". These are the same controllers people use for elaborate syncronized christmas light displays.

For the Fireworks we used a homemade 32 channel relay board connected to a seperate computer "printer" port to synchronize the ignition. We wrapped the fuses with nichrome wire with the relay board sending 12 volts to the ingitors in sync with the music. We used a freely distributed program called Vixen which provides the ability to load a music track and trigger the relays in sync with the music.

Since we were using 2 seperate computers, we had to make sure we hit the "start" button on both at the same time.
