Mickey Mom's Club In Home Celebration

Hi guys-
I got an email about an opportunity to have an "In home Celebration" for the What will you celebrate promotion. It is only for those that are members of the Mickey Mom's Club. It is kind of vague but you host a celebration and get some type of party pack and free gift. Up to 1000 people will be chosen from the same type of essay questions that were given for the Mom's Panel.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case in went to spam to be on the look out if you are interested.

And when you add in some Walt Disney World® Resort magic, your occasion is sure to be a celebration to remember! As a Mickey Moms Club member, you may have an opportunity to do just that—bring the enchantment of Disney right into your living room with a Walt Disney World "What Will You Celebrate?" In-Home Celebration.

What is an In-Home Celebration? With the celebration kit we provide, you can accommodate up to (10) parents and (10) children at your house for a Walt Disney World® Resort-themed party. We'll make it easy and entertaining by providing online planning tools and a fantastic party package that will help bring your party to life. Included in this celebration kit:

• Disney-themed activities, recipes and décor
• Giveaways for parents and kids
• And a special gift for the host—YOU!


You'll have the tools you need to throw a Walt Disney World® Resort celebration in your own home, from easy-to-make recipes to Resort-themed games and activities that parents and kids will love. Invite other parents and their kids to join in the magic and let the celebration begin!

You may submit a request to be a host between March 2, 2009, and March 6, 2009, by answering three essay questions. Each registered Mickey Moms Club member may submit essay answers only once. We will review the essays and select up to 1,000 Mickey Moms Club members to receive the In-Home Celebration kit. To submit your request, log in to the Mickey Moms Club website and then click on the "Submit Your Essay Now" link from the home page.

You will be notified by email on or around March 9, 2009, if you have been selected. If you are selected, we ask that all In-Home Celebrations be hosted between March 16-April 5, 2009. You will be invited to participate in a voluntary online survey after your party.

I got it too, I thought it was party favors that I could use for my DS bday party in May, but it doesn't sound like it:shrug:. I can't throw a party for no reason, I have to save for my next Disney trip in June:lol:

I'm sorry, unless the "gift" is something of real value, I wouldn't just want to throw a party like they're asking. It's a clever idea, they have you bear the expense of their marketing and then you spend time giving them your reactions. It's definately different. I'm curious to see how this all works out and what they are trying to learn through this experiment.

It will be interesting to see what is in the kit. We are already celebrating a birthday in this time frame so it worked out great for us, that is why I applied. Plus, just about everything we celebrate has some Disney in it anyway. I love making Disney cakes more than anything else.

It is a very smart marketing move the way I see it, they are using their hardcore fans to spread the word about the "Celebrate" promotion/theme. I don't mind in the least since I am always talking Disney to everyone anyway, this just gives me an excuse to do it, plus no matter how small the gift is I am getting something for it this time! :lol:

I too won! I love any excuse to have the family over for a party! I can't wait to see what is included in this kit. I know that this is a marketing tool because of the survey...but c'mon its DISNEY and its FREE!

I plan on inviting the family that is meeting us in Disney in October. I am going to have them bring old photos and we will have a blast.

I feel like all we talk about is Disney anyway...so why not!

There's a photo album (for you), canvas tote bags, cocktail napkins, balloons, colored fortune cookies, park maps, Hannah Montanna magnets, Signed pencil sketches, Bingo, directions, a DVD (haven't watched yet)....and it was so beautifully presented!
