Well considering the fact that it has deteriorated into a state that is no longer fun to ride, ten years past when the track was supposed to be replaced... A better question at this point is, could Space Mountain seriously get any worse? Unfortunately-

Maybe it could be successful like Ghost Galaxy. Plus I think the Space Mountain overlay in Orlando might be open day & night from September to November.

I'm excited to see all the new Halloween offerings. It would be awesome if Space Mountain gets some incidental TLC from the transformation. I having been hoping they'd add movements to the mannequins on the lift hill since the late '70s ...

Fall versions of Trolley Show, MRFF, and Dapper Dans will begin performances on August 13 this year.

Great question. Originally I thought live actors among the animatronics, but now I’m wondering if that would work. It would be tough to match the cartoonish look of the AA’s, not to mention the danger of having live actors amongst the show scenes. Maybe they will just be in the boats.

Anyone know more?

Putting the actors in the boats just seems prohibitely expensive to staff. How many boats are in rotation at one time?

I don't think it would be so dangerous to have actors standing in certain areas, considering that the ride already has dedicated evacuation and maintenance pathways. They experimented with similar live actors augmenting the animatronics in Mansion for a while.

Good points. Will be interesting to see how this goes. Anything added to MNSSHP is a plus IMO, so even if it’s corny it only affects the parties.

If you have a fast pass booked for space Mountain at say 5:30 will the spooky overlay be already on or will it be the normal ride and they will just switch them on at 7? This is the 17th August party, so booked fast passes before we knew this was happening!

My DW has been wanting to do this for years. We generally don’t get the option to go in the fall as that is one of the busy seasons for her office. We are excited for all activities. It definitely was a welcome surprise for the end of our trip. Even had to add a night of hotel accommodations.

Don't know that they can "ghost on, ghost off" that quickly... DLR puts theirs in holiday mode and it stays that way for months at a time.

Ah fair enough! I just wasn't sure as I've not experienced the DLR version! We are staying that night for MNSSHP anyway but wasn't sure!

Depends on if it's just a music shift and a lighting package. That could easily be at the push of a button. I'm sure they'd rather these be party-exclusives to sell tickets.
