Here's a link to a news article just posted that confirms Michael will be getting his job back as a character performer at Walt Disney World.
Think that's great, now let's see if gets his money from the time he was suspended, after all it wasn't his fault he got suspended...

I doubt it though...

I'm glad he has gotten his job back. I had read in an interview that he didn't want to be a character anymore...guess he changed his mind.

If she did, IMO he should leave it to that...
It was only an accusation, and obviously she believed it... And leaving your guy only on accusations??? Not Done...
Let her be... she does NOT love him...

I agree. If you don't have a relationship that would lead you to be first skeptical of such an accusation then you don't have a strong relationship. If you've already gone ahead with getting engaged, then you really should avoid the person, as you saved yourself both emotionally and financially from the inevitable.

Good for Disney for giving him his job back. And good for him for returning to the character department. It was obviously what he liked, and I'm glad this whole trial didn't ruin it for him. I'm also thrilled that Disney is going to be giving him all of his back pay. Finally, Disney management made a move we can be proud of!

I agree totally. If she loved him & believed in him she would have stood next to him the entire time.

Well I'm sure glad he got his job back.......he didn't do anything wrong. I'm surprised that Disney is paying him for the time he was suspended, but again, it is the right thing to do. Welcome back Tigger!!

Wow, this is great, great news. Not only am I suprised that Disney is giving him his job back, but I'm shocked that they're giving him all of his back pay. A decision like that, no matter who made it within Disney management, gives me such a great feeling. I'd almost forgotten what it feels like to hear about Disney going further than they needed to when it came to a money situation, no matter how small the amount.

Bravo Disney, and congrats to Michael.

It's important to keep in mind here that Michael's job is covered by a union contract, and the reality is Disney didn't have a choice on the back pay, or returning him to his job. Since he was acquitted in the courts they had to give them both to him.

While I'm extremely glad he did get it back, let's not see Disney as too altruistic in this one. The big test will be whether he is able to keep that job as long as he wants it in the future (asuming no errors on his part), without be quietly harrassed out of it after the news media isn't standing at the gates asking questions.

Whoa! Let time be the judge of the situation. Truth will out.

no they're right. if she left him over an accusation and nothing else, then she didn't fully love him. in this country don't act so suprised. divorce is now just a part of life. it's the new "cool" thing. get married 20 tims before you turn 50...

I hope this guy will be able to rebuild his life to some sense of normalcy, though it may take some time for it to happen.

Its all about the media focus. Both Disney and this guy were vindicated in this ruling. Disney won by both not gaining a negative image that contradicts its cheery persona, as well as a good dose of free publicity.

The guy is in the spotlight, so for them not to give him his backpay would be an obvious no-no. They want this to be put in print to attract more future cast members who will see them as a great place to work.

I'm sure in most cases, where a union isn't involved, Disney does not issue backpay in situations where people have their jobs re-instated. In fact, i'm sure in most of those cases people just weren't offered their positions back for obvious reasons. If this was a non-media story, i think a union would be the only way someone else would be able to recoup that pay.
