The other poster is incorrect. This discount has been in effect the past few years during busy periods, presumably as an offset to long lines and crowded dining experiences. Buy a quick service meal and get a % off discount the next morning at select locations.

Examples:

Mostly to draw crowds off of peak CS dining times and bring them in earlier to ease the seating crunch that most locations have when the mobs show up for their burgers. That is why the discount this year is only good until 1:00 pm same day.

Like you said this has been going on for quite a few years and if you don't buy something early enough in the day you miss out on the merch discount.

Funny, they wouldn't need to lure people to eat at off peak hours if they hadn't reduced dining capacity so much...

I was at Disney World 11/30-12/6 this past year and the discount printed on assorted restaurant receipts also. I was happily surprised!
