Our family went to WDW during the 25th Anniversary celebration. My daughter was 6 and my son was 10. There was a lot of discussion regarding which rides they’d go on and which they wouldn’t
Everyone knows that Splash Mountain circles the big drop soon after you leave the loading station. My wife and I were riding in front of the two children. As the drop came into view, my daughter turned to her brother.
And said, “No way they’re getting me on THAT ride!”
I turned to catch the most precious face on my son. No one told my daughter that she WAS on that ride!
BONUS: While waiting with my son in the Tower of Terror queue, he was getting increasingly anxious. I mentioned to him that we could leave and get a T-shirt. That way he could wear it to school to impress his buddies. His response, “I’m not wearing a T-shirt if I didn’t ride.”
He did fine.
