You know, I have always dreamed up a huge Disneyland Resort, and I just couldn't find a place to post it or locate it in the world. After a tiny thread, and the help of @spacemt354 and @S.P.E.W, I have come up with this, Melbourne Disneyland Resort. It's located in Australia, details will be in the next post. Below is the logo, and the list of what is to come. So let's get started!!

The amenities listed above are going to take up about 10,000 acres of land, but the land Disney owns will be around 23,000-27,000 acres of land, for expansions.

As you can see, this is a massive resort. 10,000 acres filled and 16,020 rooms make this complex. This is going to take awhile to finish, so we'll start soon!​

Melbourne Disneyland Resort is located about 55 km (about 31 mi) away west from downtown Melbourne, which is about a 45-60 minute drive. The whole resort surrounds the Princes Freeway, and new exits and roads will be built to accommodate as needed. Without further ado, the beginning of Melbourne Disneyland Resort!

Melbourne Disneyland is located at the center of the resort, on a highway off of Princes Freeway.

This park has 4 ground parking lots (Mickey 1-21, Minnie 22-42, Donald 43-63, Daisy 64-84) and one parking garage (Walt Garage). There are 4,650 usable parking spaces for guests in the parking lots, plus 2,750 spaces in the parking garage, for a total of 7,400 parking spaces in the Melbourne Disneyland parking area.

Trams (the same used at WDW) will stop at every parking lot, excluding the parking garage, which will have an elevated flat escalator. As the tram approaches every stop and starts moving again, you'll hear:

"For your safety, keep your hands arms feet and legs inside the tram at all times, and please supervise your children.

As you depart to your magical day, be sure to pick up a map, and a ticket. You can use your map to find showtimes for the day, include the beautiful 9:00 fireworks, A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. We are coming up on our final stop to the hub, so please watch your head and step as you depart, taking small children by the hand.

Of course, at the back of the tram, there will be a cast member welcoming you to the park, cracking a joke here and there. The tram route from front to back is about 1.5 miles.

The park houses 8 themed lands, from left to right, they are: Mickey Street, Beastly Kingdom, Americaland, Fantasyland, Toontown, Discoveryland, Tomorrowland, Agrabah.

@spacemt354, if you are still up for doing this map, you can decide if you want to include the hub or not, it really doesn't matter. If it's too much of a hassle, don't worry about it.

After exiting the tram, you'll be welcomed with a grand compass with a golden Mickey head engraved in the floor. If you look straight in front of you, you'll be able to see the grand entrance of Melbourne Disneyland Park. If you look to the right, you'll notice the backside of the Melbourne Disneyland Hotel. This side is also the entrance if you are a hotel guest. Finally, to the left of you is where you can grab your tickets, whether it be 1-Day, or 6-Day. You can also find shopping stalls with different Disney Pins, which is big at this resort, as well as water bottles, t-shirts, hats, and fans; all what you need for hot days. The left side is also where the bus stops are.

Dotted in and around the "compass hub" are planters with flowers and trees, just every way to make it a magical hub.​

Thanks! I'm just about done with the next post.

Also, I need an opinion. Should I do a few parks on here, the main hotel, and the (maybe) shopping center, and then the others on a Google Document? That way I could go into a whole lot of detail. @spacemt354, @S.P.E.W, @FireMountain, @DisneyForever?

When departing from the tram, you'll notice the grandiose Mickey Street Train Station, which is the entrance to Melbourne Disneyland Park. What I mean by that is underneath it is where you will scan you Magichain (more on that later) to go through the turnstiles and be entered into the park.

If you look up, you'll notice the Australian flag flying high and proud in the sky, and below it you'll find a pathway to the left, right, and straight ahead, as well a plaque that has the dedication speech (found in the first post) engraved on it. You could call this area the Flag Garden if you'd like.

As you look around, you'll likely see guests going around on Main Street Electrical Vehicles, which take them from the train station to the "castle courtyard" and vice versa.

Moving on the left side, you'll be able to see City Hall, which acts as a Guest Services, and also provides needs for the deaf and blind, such as a braille map, and pocketbooks that hold narrations for the most popular attractions. To the right of City Hall is Fire Brigade No. 28, which houses a small quick-service actually called Fire Brigade No. 28, and spans two floors.

To the right is House of Mouse Theater, which houses The Life and Times of Uncle Walt, a 49-minute film featuring the life of Walt Disney, including a Walt Disney animatronic that gives the dedication speech of Disneyland.

Cast Member: Hello and welcome to The Life and Times of Uncle Walt, a tribute and celebration to the man who started a popular mouse and character chain, man wonderful animated movies, and theme parks. Today's show is 49-minutes long, and is a mix of film and animatronics. For your safety and the comfort of others, please no eating, drinking, speaking, and no flash-photography. Thank you, and enjoy the show.

Narrator: In early December of 1901, a star of his own, is born. Walter Elias Disney is born. He already has three other siblings, Herbert, Raymond, and Roy. Later in 1903, Ruth.

(The curtain comes up, revealing early pictures of Walt, including his parents, him sitting in a chair, and many others you can find on the internet. A classical rendition of When You Wish Upon a Star plays, stopping when the narrator speaks.)

Narrator: Through his childhood, Walt has paper routes, taking them before school, and sometimes sleeps on his jobs. Although his father is rough, his mother is sweet and sometimes stern. Drawing and animating was his passion, and he did it whenever he could.

(The film cuts to scenes of Walt's drawings, and his early adult life drawing animations.)

Narrator: This is what fueled his passion for animation. His job, he loosely worked for a newspaper company, drawing comics. It wasn't long, however, that Walt was evicted and lived on the streets. He later moved with his brother, Roy, to Hollywood. This is where they'd start the animation business.

(Cut to scenes of early Disney short films, and finally, Steamboat Willie.)

Narrator: The year is 1928. On a train back to Hollywood from New York, Walt comes up with a mouse named Mortimer. "No, no, too serious." his wife, Lilian, tells him. "Aha, how about Mickey?" she adds. Walt nods, and Steamboat Willie, starring Mickey Mouse, goes to theaters.

Narrator: In future years, he continues on with short films, until 1935, when he aims to make a feature-film, the first ever animated full-length film. This became Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937.

(Cut to scenes of the opening at Carthay Circle.)

Narrator: He first presents it at the Carthay Theater, and becomes a huge hit. Carthay is still well-known within Disney, having it in Disney's California Adventure and Disney Hollywood Studios in Florida, just to name a few. He continues with these films, Pinocchio, Bambi, Fantasia. And then, the war comes. Walt is back to the short films, and Donald Duck is presented in almost every short film. He does, however, release The Adventures of Ichabod and Toad, a two-film feature that is released in 1947.

(Cut to scenes of Snow White, Donald short films, and Toad.)

Narrator: Getting past the war, Walt thinks of a theme park located right across from his Burbank, California Studio. Due to the war, plans halt, until the early fifties, when plans became too large, and Walt needs more space. He buys acres of orange groves in small-town Anaheim. Disneyland is built, and guests flock to the main entrance, some legal and others, not.

(Cut to scenes of photos and videos of Disneyland being built, including a time-lapse. Then, the screen is lifted, revealing an animatronic Walt Disney standing behind a microphone.)

Walt Disney: To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past... and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated the the ideals, dreams, and hard facts that have created America... with hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world. Thank you.

(The screen and curtain come down together, showing only the curtains. There is silence, only for a moment.)

(Instrumental it's a small world music plays in the background while the narrator speaks.)


Narrator: Disneyland is a huge hit. What else is a hit is the opening of the 1964/65 New York World's Fair. Walt Disney builds not one, not two, not three, but four attractions for the forward-thinking fair. He creates: Pepsi-Cola it's a small world, GE's Carousel of Progress, Ford's Magic Skyway, and Illinois's Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.


(Parts of this video above are played, including the "Fair Song" and Walt showing off his creations.)

Narrator: Not only is Disney investing his time in this fair, he is also dreaming up of the "Florida Project". E.P.C.O.T. Center, as he calls, is to be a working, breathing, living city in the smallest town of Orlando, Florida.

(The screen lifts yet again, now to show Walt Disney showcasing E.P.C.O.T.)

Narrator: Walt Disney does know that he can do it, but... it does not come to fruition.

(The screen is brought back down, and E.P.C.O.T. pictures are shown.)

Narrator: All his life, Walt Disney is a chain-smoker. It starts from the age of 18, and catches up with him.

(Sad, instrumental music plays, and Walt Disney photos/videos light up on the screen.)


Narrator: December 15, 1966, Walter Elias Disney, dies from lung cancer. From his last days, he plots out on the ceiling, with the help of Roy, what E.P.C.O.T. shall look like.

(More Disney pictures run on the screen while the music plays.)

Narrator: Today, The Walt Disney Company is a huge empire, with 18 theme parks and many movies, Walt Disney has made his mark.

Moving past the Flag Garden is the heart of Mickey Street. We'll start from the left side of Mickey Street.

Beginning from the left (closest to Fire Brigade) is Mickey Emporium, where you can shop for anything Melbourne Disneyland Park, including a one of a kind, AU$62.34 book showcasing concept art from the early stages of Melbourne Disneyland Resort. Moving right, we'll be able to see a side entrance of the Emporium, Clarabelle's Cakery, a bakery with fun-filled, and creme-filled treats such as doughnuts, cookies, Rice Krispy treats, etc, and a little courtyard with benches to sit and eat your treats. Also in the courtyard is the Mickey-Go-Round, a merry-go-round which marks the first actual attraction in a Main Street Land.

Next to the courtyard is Dandie's, where you can buy merchandise with flowers all over it. Here you'll also find tote-bags, purses, change-purses, and more with Minnie and Daisy on it. Moving down the street, the next stop is Coffee Cafe: Presented by The Coffee Club. Here you can grab your morning coffee from Australia's favorite coffee chain, The Coffee Club. Towards the end of the left side is Barnyard Bunches and The Mouse Club Clothiers. Barnyard Bunches is a store that sells mainly farm-related merchandise, while Mouse Club sells everything with Mickey's name on it. It's basically a smaller version of the World of Disney.

Now that we've reached the end of the left side of Mickey Street, let's move on the the right.

From right to left, we begin at Winnie the Pooh's Honey House, a circular building on the edge that serves as a confectionery for the street, and is much alike the Cakery across the street. To the left of this is Penny Arcade, where you can play classic arcade games for as low as a penny, and as high as a dime! Next is a stationary building, and is a barber shop. Although it is stationary, if you look in the window, you'll notice a barber cutting someone's hair. Onto another building, we have Goofy's Toys, a toy shop where you can find little toy trams and buses, stuffed animals of favorite Disney pals, and even souvenir cups!

From there, you can head to the left into a court. This court is paved and has multiple carts. Ink Portraits, Face Painting, and Caricatures, are just some of the things you can get in this court. If you walk to the back, you'll be able to find more stationary buildings.

Moving past the court, you'll see Melbourne Disneyland Park Character Spot, a large building disguised as two, where you can find the following characters:

You have now reached the end of Mickey Street, and have entered the Castle Courtyard, which is not a new land.

(The curtain comes up, revealing early pictures of Walt, including his parents, him sitting in a chair, and many others you can find on the internet. A classical rendition of When You Wish Upon a Star plays, stopping when the narrator speaks.)

Narrator: Through his childhood, Walt has paper routes, taking them before school, and sometimes sleeps on his jobs. Although his father is rough, his mother is sweet and sometimes stern. Drawing and animating was his passion, and he did it whenever he could.

(The film cuts to scenes of Walt's drawings, and his early adult life drawing animations.)

Narrator: This is what fueled his passion for animation. His job, he loosely worked for a newspaper company, drawing comics. It wasn't long, however, that Walt was evicted and lived on the streets. He later moved with his brother, Roy, to Hollywood. This is where they'd start the animation business.

(Cut to scenes of early Disney short films, and finally, Steamboat Willie.)

Narrator: The year is 1928. On a train back to Hollywood from New York, Walt comes up with a mouse named Mortimer. "No, no, too serious." his wife, Lilian, tells him. "Aha, how about Mickey?" she adds. Walt nods, and Steamboat Willie, starring Mickey Mouse, goes to theaters.

Narrator: In future years, he continues on with short films, until 1935, when he aims to make a feature-film, the first ever animated full-length film. This became Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937.

(Cut to scenes of the opening at Carthay Circle.)

Narrator: He first presents it at the Carthay Theater, and becomes a huge hit. Carthay is still well-known within Disney, having it in Disney's California Adventure and Disney Hollywood Studios in Florida, just to name a few. He continues with these films, Pinocchio, Bambi, Fantasia. And then, the war comes. Walt is back to the short films, and Donald Duck is presented in almost every short film. He does, however, release The Adventures of Ichabod and Toad, a two-film feature that is released in 1947.

(Cut to scenes of Snow White, Donald short films, and Toad.)

Narrator: Getting past the war, Walt thinks of a theme park located right across from his Burbank, California Studio. Due to the war, plans halt, until the early fifties, when plans became too large, and Walt needs more space. He buys acres of orange groves in small-town Anaheim. Disneyland is built, and guests flock to the main entrance, some legal and others, not.

(Cut to scenes of photos and videos of Disneyland being built, including a time-lapse. Then, the screen is lifted, revealing an animatronic Walt Disney standing behind a microphone.)

Walt Disney: To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past... and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated the the ideals, dreams, and hard facts that have created America... with hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world. Thank you.

(The screen and curtain come down together, showing only the curtains. There is silence, only for a moment.)

(Instrumental it's a small world music plays in the background while the narrator speaks.)


Narrator: Disneyland is a huge hit. What else is a hit is the opening of the 1964/65 New York World's Fair. Walt Disney builds not one, not two, not three, but four attractions for the forward-thinking fair. He creates: Pepsi-Cola it's a small world, GE's Carousel of Progress, Ford's Magic Skyway, and Illinois's Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.


(Parts of this video above are played, including the "Fair Song" and Walt showing off his creations.)

Narrator: Not only is Disney investing his time in this fair, he is also dreaming up of the "Florida Project". E.P.C.O.T. Center, as he calls, is to be a working, breathing, living city in the smallest town of Orlando, Florida.

(The screen lifts yet again, now to show Walt Disney showcasing E.P.C.O.T.)

Narrator: Walt Disney does know that he can do it, but... it does not come to fruition.

(The screen is brought back down, and E.P.C.O.T. pictures are shown.)

Narrator: All his life, Walt Disney is a chain-smoker. It starts from the age of 18, and catches up with him.

(Sad, instrumental music plays, and Walt Disney photos/videos light up on the screen.)


Narrator: December 15, 1966, Walter Elias Disney, dies from lung cancer. From his last days, he plots out on the ceiling, with the help of Roy, what E.P.C.O.T. shall look like.

(More Disney pictures run on the screen while the music plays.)

Narrator: Today, The Walt Disney Company is a huge empire, with 18 theme parks and many movies, Walt Disney has made his mark.



Narrator: Thank you, each and every one of you, for joining this tribute of Walt Disney, please, enjoy the rest of your day.

(The curtain comes down, and the above music starts to play as you exit the theater, and others enter.


Moving past the Flag Garden is the heart of Mickey Street. We'll start from the left side of Mickey Street.

Beginning from the left (closest to Fire Brigade) is Mickey Emporium, where you can shop for anything Melbourne Disneyland Park, including a one of a kind, AU$62.34 book showcasing concept art from the early stages of Melbourne Disneyland Resort. Moving right, we'll be able to see a side entrance of the Emporium, Clarabelle's Cakery, a bakery with fun-filled, and creme-filled treats such as doughnuts, cookies, Rice Krispy treats, etc, and a little courtyard with benches to sit and eat your treats. Also in the courtyard is the Mickey-Go-Round, a merry-go-round which marks the first actual attraction in a Main Street Land.

Next to the courtyard is Dandie's, where you can buy merchandise with flowers all over it. Here you'll also find tote-bags, purses, change-purses, and more with Minnie and Daisy on it. Moving down the street, the next stop is Coffee Cafe: Presented by The Coffee Club. Here you can grab your morning coffee from Australia's favorite coffee chain, The Coffee Club. Towards the end of the left side is Barnyard Bunches and The Mouse Club Clothiers. Barnyard Bunches is a store that sells mainly farm-related merchandise, while Mouse Club sells everything with Mickey's name on it. It's basically a smaller version of the World of Disney.

Now that we've reached the end of the left side of Mickey Street, let's move on the the right.

From right to left, we begin at Winnie the Pooh's Honey House, a circular building on the edge that serves as a confectionery for the street, and is much alike the Cakery across the street. To the left of this is Penny Arcade, where you can play classic arcade games for as low as a penny, and as high as a dime! Next is a stationary building, and is a barber shop. Although it is stationary, if you look in the window, you'll notice a barber cutting someone's hair. Onto another building, we have Goofy's Toys, a toy shop where you can find little toy trams and buses, stuffed animals of favorite Disney pals, and even souvenir cups!

From there, you can head to the left into a court. This court is paved and has multiple carts. Ink Portraits, Face Painting, and Caricatures, are just some of the things you can get in this court. If you walk to the back, you'll be able to find more stationary buildings.

Moving past the court, you'll see Melbourne Disneyland Park Character Spot, a large building disguised as two, where you can find the following characters:

You have now reached the end of Mickey Street, and have entered the Castle Courtyard, which is not a new land.
