May discounts

Does anyone know when may discounts come out. Everything I've seen only goes through April. I know what to expect generally and historically but I'm anxious to see what it will actually be. Really I'm just getting impatient with booking our next trip and until we have a discounted room, I have to wait.....unless there isn't a limit on how many rooms are eligible for the AP discount (like there is for FDD for example). If I can book now and then add the discount once I get our APs then it's game on!! :)

So early summer (which is what I assume may 2020 is) hasn't come out yet??

I've found that the historical discounts page on mousesavers.com is helpful for an idea about when discounts might come out and the amounts. Of course, there are no guarantees, but you can see patterns for discounts and release dates.
I looked on there and I must have misunderstood....it said the discount came out in January but I thought it meant the January the year before (so Jan '19 was for may '20).

Nope, it's just a few months out. Disney offers most of it's discounts based on occupancy. So 3-4 months out when they are planning a new discount, if a particular resort is already 85% booked (or whatever their target is) they won't include it in the discounts. This is why some room types will offer discounts, but not others. They would much rather people pay rack rate than pay a discounted rate.

That makes sense. I'm hoping for a discount for the cabins. My trip is already based on rack rate but if I can get even 25% it would do a lot to help out9
