Awww, you are so cute. You know you are wrong but you are like a little child who keeps planting your feet and not budging. It's ok, you know nothing about movies and it shows. Let's see how your prediction that The Eternals will also be a flop. 🤣
Too late for that...

Eternals have no Thunder. That is going to bomb hard

Don't forget that before @1HAPPYGHOSTHOST moved the goalpost to compare Shang-Chi to all the other Marvel movies (released outside a world wide pandemic), he said this...

This movie [Shang-Chi] has BOX OFFICE BOMB written all over it.

Then he'll dissemble and equivocate on what "bomb" means to find a definition that "fits" (from his warped point of view). He'll compare it to a movie that made $2B and say, "See?..."

Even though he also said...

I am betting this [Black Widow] will be the lowest grossing marvel movie todate until chang-chi which will just flat out bomb.

In which he makes it very clear that Shang-Chi will bomb on its own, apart from comparison to Marvel movies. Which it didn't.

BTW... Black Widow made more than Captain America: The First Avenger, another movie without a China release.

But, if we add in the estimated take from Premium Access streaming, then Black Widow also made more than Thor 1.

This is @1HAPPYGHOSTHOST's take on Cruella:

Movie is gonna bomb hard.

Which it didn't. Worldwide take: $233M. Add to that the Premium Access take. And now that it's 'free' on D+, it's topping Nielsen's list of top ten streamed movies.

Remember this, everyone, the next time @1HAPPYGHOSTHOST predicts a movie will bomb. It is likely to do well.

Also, remember this, everyone, the next time @1HAPPYGHOSTHOST says that a released movie has already bombed... just as likely to be completely false.

Well, he has been giving us some laughs in this little corner of the website. It’s obvious he has no clue about movies and refuses to acknowledge he is wrong.

1HAPPYGHOST is probably an admin here who is just trolling us for laughs, knowing we will respond. We will probably find out next April 1 that it's one of the main mods/admins playing a VERY early April Fool's joke on us.

I've seen that before on a Star Wars forum. Lots of fun.

Show me the box office numbers compared to the other marvel films and prove me wrong then?

Here you go...

Shang-Chi has passed CA:tFA domestically already. And it's only in it's fourth week. By Monday, it will pass CA world-wide.

Would you like a lesson in how to use the Internet?

Using F9 as a baseline, it made $172 million domestically this year, compared to F8 making $226 million.

Based on these numbers we can estimate many movies would have earned 31% more if not for COVID.

Shang-Chi might have made $257 million in any other year.

For whatever that's worth.

I said all the marvel films
Shang-Chi is looking like it will be the 8th Marvel Movie (counting spider-man 3 and spider-man) to be the #1 movie in the year it was released. Shang-Chi has a higher audience score than the other 7 movies that accomplished this. I guess that makes Shang-Chi the best Marvel movie to ever be made (well...at least that statement is closer to being true than anything you seem to say).

257 million after 4 weeks of release. Still you can't do that. That assumes F9 is the same quality movie as F8 was. There would be many more ways to come up with a better estimate but all would have their flaws and not really be accurate at all.

No matter how well SC ends up doing, No Way Home is gonna squash it. Not trying to undermine SC's success, but.....Spiderman ya know.

Spiderman comes out December 17th, which means they will only have 2 weeks to achieve the final total of Shang-Chi. Most experts look at the total a movie earned in the calendar year as opposed to looking at totals for movies based on the release date. Since this is pretty much the industry standard, this is why I would assume it will be hard for Spiderman to reach that total. At least one star wars movie lost the top earner position for the year because of there December release date.

For instance, boxofficemojo has Jurassic World winning the 2015 box office over The force Awakens by less than 1 million dollars. The force Awakens made over 184 million in 2016 that was not included in their 2015 total.
