So I just pulled up to my hotel and what do I see within easy walking distance? The Jim Henson Company with a big statue of Kermit on top. I'll get a picture later. Also In N Out is right next door
Hhmm, you're staying in Hollywood, as I can tell from the description of the area you gave. What hotel? The Days Inn?

Don't go to that In-N-Out during the afternoon. The students from Hollywood High rush there after school and crowd the place up.

Is that the Kermit that's dressed like Charlie Chaplin? If I'm not mistaken, that's where Chaplin's studio was located, hence the Kermit tribute.

Zoltar.. I remember that movie by Tom Hanks!!Just went to Venice beach and Santa Monica Pier. One thing I've noticed is how different it is over here. It just feels really laid back. Here are the pictures

So, In N Out Burger. I probably shouldn't have gone in with as high expectations as I did. Thinking about it now there is absolutely no way a fast food chain was going to compare to my personal favorite Burger place in South Florida: Charm City Burger. Seriously, if any of you Californians ever visit the area you absolutely MUST eat there. The burger was okay at In N Out, but the fries.......... Ugh. Sorry guys, but that's the honest truth. After In N Out I walked the ENTIRE Hollywood Walk of Fame. I took too many pictures of too many stars to post them all so I'll focus on my favorite.

During the daytime hours there is a whole horde of every kind of costumed film character you can think of.
A bit surreal....but now such a part of the scene there at that location.

In all seriousness, a lot of people don't like In-N-Out. It's definitely more of a Western thing, but I'm glad you tried it.

I think west coasters tend to hype In-N-Out too much. It’s a great fast food burger but it is still a fast food burger. I have sales reps fly in from out of town a lot and I just tell them we are going to In-N-Out without praising it too much. When we get there I tell them how to order and then let them discover it for themselves. Everyone I have brought in without expectations are in love after their first bite.
