Do you think Disney believes they made a blunder adding SGE and taking out AE?

WOOT WOOT for some strange reason that makes me happy, do you think this means a possible switch back to the origonal format with some tweaks to make it (since it was done in 1995)? But they gotta keep Chairman Clench!!!

and also i just found out that tyra banks was the alien in the 1st pre-show, maybe SHE shut it down :drevil: (da da dum dum dummmmmmmm)

You have forgotten to include one other reason that Malestorm has a longer wait than the Three Caballero's.....Norway is heavily staffed with female Norwegian College students.:D

The boys aren't half bad looking either, least not the ones working at Akershus. ;)

Back to the boats, Maelstrom has Fastpass, more exterior visibility and a more promising slogan. That begin said, I wish the ride were longer and had a real drop and not one that goes slow for the first half you go down it (and a darker location).

Just how good was the ride originally meant to be, or do I not want to know?

Count me on the list that thinks Gran Fiesta is better than El Rio. Symbolism means nothing if it's poorly explained and dully presented. I know some people love the original but judging by the age review ratings in the Unofficial Guide lots didn't.

Love these two. Always have to hit them up every visit. This past summer in August both had lines at about 30 minutes or over. I never have watched the Norvay movie after the ride though.

*GASP*!

The post-show movie is actually pretty good (and there's really only a couple scenes that truly date the movie in the 80's). I make sure that I stay to see the movie at least once each trip.

I took a picture in January of the que for Maelstrom as there was absolutely no one except us, in line. I have never walked in the door and right up and onto the boat before. I have seen a line before for the Mexico ride, but not often. Its more of a ho-hum ride then Maelstrom.

I just dont understand the didnt know it was there people. I undestand the location of GFT is bad but do you people walk around the park aimlessly and rush through everything? You should take your time and take in the parks. These are probaly the same people who dont know about the trails in AK!

Forget about hidden trails at AK most guests are lucky to know that there is an attraction under the Tree of life. There was thread on here not to long ago about a friend of a member going to Epcot and going on only one ride. Sadly people like that are all to common. There are quite a few people that will go to WDW with zero knowledge and if they do not trip over the entrance they will not notice an attraction.

I didn't know it was there because it was my first time to EPCOT, not because I rush through everything! Don't assume things of people

Norway had a lines even in the pre-fastpass days and I remember numerous times having to wait through the entire que in Mexico. I know it is a small que but perhaps that is why the line never gets longer. As someone already mentioned the shops inside the pavilion are right outside of the line and that may discourage the line from getting too long. Other than that possibility I do agree that the "thrill" factor of Norway having a drop will contribute to the lines there being consistently longer.

I can only recall standing in line for the maelstrom like once. Every time I go on it, its never a line. I usually do it maybe 40 min or less before WS opens or late at night. Either way I dont stand in line for it and usually dont see one. The mexican boat ride never has a line either, I think I remember standing in a line for it maybe once but thats about it.

When in January did you go?
We went 1/6-1/14 and there was never less than a 20-30 minute wait, so we usually got FPs. We also were there when the marathon was going on...thats probably the reason.
