That alone is better than anything WDW has presented for the 50th Anniversary.
Why is DLP's 30th kicking WDW's 50th's butt so hard?
Indeed! As Brilliant as last night was......I can't see a reason why the Revivals of Cest and Mickey's Magic Book can't be added to the 30th line up! DLP did 2 Castle Shows, plus the debuts of Illuminations and Stars On Parade for the 25th! Of course, the April 12th Spectacular blew the 2 Shows out of the Water! Also, April 12th/the real 25th was for all guests, BTW
If DLP can get away with no guests in the Hub for Illuminations. Follow the Light could be added after Illuminations or After Glow if that's still a thing after the longer D Light Pre Show

Am I the only one who didn't like the pyro and fireworks in front of the castle rather than behind or above it? It seemed messy.
I think it was ok for the one off party, I guess it probably allowed them to have more pyro for party than they would otherwise be land with the normal launch locations?

Saw on Instagram that except specialist tickets they are discontinuing the option to buy tickets at the gate. Will all have to be pre-purchased beforehand.

Also means they don't have to pay to staff the ticket booths.

They really need to update it so people in the UK can buy them. They're missing a trick here as I think more would if it wasn't such a hassle to do once there

Just back from a five day trip. I didn't see the Annual Pass office open once! Would have popped in if fate deemed it to be... probably for the best, as I more than likely wouldn't have justified it.

The castle park looks absolutely phenomenal at the moment. I thought it was looked good three years ago, but they've really taken the time to address any shortcomings. It's nice to see pluses, such as actual cobblestone replacing the printed concrete for example.
Stayed three hours in Studios. It is the sadness.
I don't know if the food quality worse now. Last time every restaurant had multiple tier menus for the dining plan. We were staying in the DLH so had the opportunity to try the premium then, now there's just the one. Remy in particular has faired badly here. Nothing was bad (expect the pineapple upside cake in Walt's) it just kinda okay or weird (Capt. Jacks).
Premier pass wasn't selling as far as I could see. Return times were consistently with 15 minutes (BTMR once hit 40) and there was only a handful of people in the lines. Also for what was supposed to be a very busy week (it was at capacity) there was an awful lot of stuff that were literal walk ons in the evening (the people eaters like Pirates, Manor, Star Tours etc) crazy considering they were still advertising it for up to 14 euro per person for PA.
Drones were phenomenal.
Preferred the previous parade.
Staff were great.

The office in the castle park has been closed for a while, you have to buy APs in one of the ticket counters, on the right side at the gates of WDSP.
Regarding LL, from what I've gathered, Crush & Peter Pan are sold out every day and to a lesser extent BTM & Rat are "very popular".

Thanks. I could have checked that in the parks, but I didn't really want to, if catch my drift. My sales resistance would have been extremely low and ignorance was really the way to go for my wallet.
As I said, we only spent a few hours in the Studios, but Rat was a 60 minute wait. PA was available immediately at that stage. No one used the line while we were there. We'd no interest in doing crush, or tower (kids too small, also my back atm).
Peter Pan had probably the most consistently long wait times while we were there. And I was checking times consistently on the app. Sometimes approaching 2 hours. I gave in and grudgingly spent the money (70 euro for the five of us!) on our last ride before we left the park on Thursday. We had to wait 20 minutes* for our time at 530pm. The people before us had paper returns, which I assumed were from a breakdown. Also spent on BTM before that (90euro, 10 minute wait*), as I LOVE IT and I feel guilty about giving in** Now maybe the PA access allocation is absolutely tiny (I doubt it), but in our five days there, the uptake was to the point of unobservable. Again, I was consistently checking the app, as well as looking at the PA return times.
*That's time to enter the line and immediate walk on afterwards.
**Not as guilty as I'd been feeling if I went up to Tony Baxter. Spotted him entering the parks on his own just before D-Light on Monday. Tested positive for the first time for Covid yesterday afternoon.

Unfortunately, it stopped working soon after. Didn’t see it moving our entire trip. Also, the main 30th banner under the train station didn’t spin either. Odd, given the superb weather.

Don’t feel too bad, I’ve also paid once for crush, 16€/p, and I go to the parks around 5x/year….
For paper tickets it could also be that they bought the tickets in Guest Services at one of the two parks. You don’t need the app to buy them, you just need money
For BTM, it’s generally emptiest around 40min before Illuminations, it’s also when it’s the best experience imo as the track is warm and the ride looks amazing at night . For reference:
