Nice! I can confirm the existence as my sister got the exact same email. I'm very salty about it because my wife and I went with them last year at the same time and yet she got the email and I didn't
Three calls to Disney to try to get it failed. Oh well!
I often receive them, and I think I've figured out the 'algorithm' that triggers it off.
I visit the official WDW website and log into my account.
Then I browse around, looking at the different Resort hotel rates and view any current deals even if I already know what they are.
This gives Mickey the impression I am looking into taking a trip, and it apparently puts me on the magical 'list'.
Sure enough, the next time a PIN Code offer is released, it shows up in my email account.
This has happened many times over the years for me, but me and Mickey go waaaaaay back and he has a LONG account on my name.
Others mileage and rate of success may vary.
Over the years I have rarely used the PIN Code offers as I have found many are either exactly the same as the publically offered deals or very minimal savings differences.
This time around it was a considerable enough difference that I accepted it.
Although paying more then $100 for a 'Value Resort' is still somewhat 'expensive' to me personally, I am using the Magical Express and Skyliner services to justify the price.
Still a better rate then what I paid this exact same week a year ago, staying at my 'apartment' away from home at All Star Music.
