I do that...only it's weird when I call Abby, Joel and vice versa. :lookaroun I usually end up with 'Eldest one' :lol:, or 'the short one' or something like that.

Well, my house is a total wreck...and my SIL is coming tomorrow.I know she doesn't fuss about things like that, but I still feel bad.
I read your blog post, Bun, about the 1950's home ec book, and had to laugh...made me think of 'Mona Lisa Smile' - they address that whole issue.
Still, when I look at women of my late grandmother's generation, I am in awe of how much they handled on a daily basis. I could never measure up to what she did. And there's still a part of me that would like to try. :shrug::hammer:
