Mad Tea Party refurb....

Are we still thinking this is a redo of the roof? The contractor listed in the permit seems to have all kinds of projects in their portfolio so that doesn't help much. They do seem to do poured concrete (walkways, hard scape, parking garages) as much as anything.

In a previous thread someone mentioned moving/removing the tea kettle in the middle. Don't think the specifics of the refurb were ever confirmed.

Looking back at the history of work they have done for Disney its to generally be smaller projects. If I had to guess I would say that they are not doing a new roof.

They need to do something. It looks so..what's the word...lackluster near all the new Fantasyland work.

It kinda would look crummy to install a Fast Pass on a ride that is so run down. They could do a glass/metal roof with vines, make it something worthy of Fast Pass so that guests don't start to feel that they are overpaying for rides that are well past their prime.

I'll probably never go on MK's teacups again, haven't for well over a decade, as once you've been on Disneyland's open aired teacups going on the MK version is a definite downgrade.

Hardy to beat the out of doors, great landscaping/scenery, with a metal tent and artificial light.

Wonderful news... glad to see the teacups receiving TLC for once.

I have to agree that current tea cup building style does look out of place... if they could make it more like the Disneyland version it would look so much better but of course DL rarely gets rain opposed to WDW.

DL's is nice, but this is what WDW's needs to look like (the one in DLP):

The roof rumor has been around for a while now. I doubt it is going to happen. Although I wouldn't hate Disney for doing it. ;) More than likely it is a maintenance and upkeep refurb and nothing major will happen. Typical of refurbs for this attraction.
