Lynx has announced Service Changes that will impact the routes serving Disney.

NEW ROUTE

  • Link 312 – Disney Direct/Ocoee (Orange County) – Route will operate from West Oaks Mall SuperStop to Disney Springs via West Colonial Drive, S.R. 429, Winter Garden Village, Winter Garden Vineland Road, Ficquette Road, Reams Road, World Drive and Buena Vista Drive. There will be one trip leaving West Oaks Mall SuperStop at 6:10 a.m. and one trip leaving Disney Springs at 5:20 p.m. This route will replace Link 302 to/from Disney University and Disney Springs.
Link 305 will be eliminated.

ROUTE AND SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS

  • Link 50 – Downtown Orlando/Magic Kingdom Express (Orange County) – Extending route to Destination Parkway SuperStop and renumber as Link 350. Discontinue service between Disney Springs and Disney’s Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC). Reducing peak service to 30 minutes daily.
  • Link 300 – Downtown Orlando/Hotel Plaza (Orange County) – Extending route from Disney Springs to TTC in both directions. Discontinuing service along Palm Parkway, S.R. 535 and Lake Street. Will now operate 5 a.m.-12:40 a.m. daily at 30-minute frequency.
  • Link 301 – Disney Direct/Pine Hills/Animal Kingdom (Orange County) – Will now operate between Pine Hills and Disney Springs Transfer Center. Service to Disney resorts provided by Disney Transportation and Link 312. Changing morning route to operate on Conroy Road.
  • Link 302 – Disney Direct/Rosemont/Magic Kingdom (Orange County) – Will now operate between Rosemont SuperStop and Disney Springs Transfer Center. Service to Disney resorts provided by Disney Transportation and Link 312.
  • Link 303 – Disney Direct/Washington Shores/Hollywood Studios (Orange County) – Will now operate between John Young Parkway/Colonial Drive, Washington Shores SuperStop and Disney Springs Transfer Center. Service to Disney resorts provided by Disney Transportation and Link 312.
  • Link 304 – Disney Direct/Rio Grande/Vistana Resort (Orange County) – Changing morning route to operate along International Drive, Municipal Drive, Vanguard Street, Mandarin Drive and Sand Lake Road.
  • Link 306 – Disney Direct/Poinciana/Disney Springs (Orange County/Osceola County) – Extending route to J.W. Marriott Bonnett Creek.
To summarize this, Lynx will expand Link 300 from a Disney Springs Direct Link to an Express Route, discontinuing service along Palm Parkway, SR 535, and Lake Street; and extending it to the TTC as a non-stop Express, running every 30 minutes. Link 50 becomes Link 350 and now serves Destination Parkway but not the TTC anymore. Most of the Disney Springs Direct Links (301, 302, and 303) will no longer serve any resorts. This is a major blow to cast members and guests who rely on the system.

Ok folks, I went to Disney on 12/30-1/1 and here's the results - it only took 27:07.09 (27 minutes, 07 seconds, 09 milliseconds) from Downtown Orlando/LCS to Disney Springs on Link 300!!!
I am surprised at how much faster it took vs Link 50.
