Lunch at Tusker House at 1, can I catch Finding Nemo at 2:30?

We have a reservation to Tusker House at 1 pm, and I was thinking of getting a FP for Finding Nemo to the 2:30 pm show. Is that cutting it too close? How early do I need to show up to a show with a FP? And before someone tells me I don't need a FP for this, I'm getting one anyway because it is a priority for my family AND we're going during Thanksgiving break, so it will be mega-crowded.

It's a little tight. I'd be watching for a 12:30 lunch just to be safe.
I can't move the ADR--this is for the River of Light package--and there are no more available slots the day I'm going on. But from what you tell me, maybe I should be going to the 3:30 pm show. Tks!

Yes, I'd do the 3:30 show instead. You might be seated quickly and out in an hour at TH. Or you might be seated late and it might take a while for the characters to make it to your table. You really don't want to be stressing about the time.

Just wanted to echo what others urged -- try to plan for a later Finding Nemo show. While we've made it in and out in 60 minutes before if we were seated immediately and the characters came in quick succession (e.g., lunch at Akershus), character meals can easily take 2 solid hours, especially if you end up having to wait to be seated. Our longest-ever character meal, an early dinner at Crystal Palace, clocked in at a whopping 2 hours and 40 minutes, which included a 30-minute wait just to be seated: and to add insult to injury, when we finally gave up and left more than 2 hours after that, two of the characters still hadn't reached our table yet!

Even if you don't end up needing that extra hour, you'll be able to relax and enjoy your meal more knowing you've got that time cushion. If you end up finishing early, you could check out the earlier Finding Nemo show and see if the available standby seating meets with your approval.

The later Nemo show is a much better idea. It gives you some breathing room since an ADR is not a reservation in the traditional sense, I have been seated 30 minutes before my ADR as well as 30 minutes after, it all depends on when the tables turn over.

If you are leaving a character meal and haven’t had a visit from one or more of the characters, you can speak with a CM and they will usually bring them to you - unless they are on a break.

That said I always allow 90 minutes for a character buffet. Since I’m paying for the character experience, I don’t want to be rushing in order to get somewhere else.
