Lumiere's arms

    Okay, so that animatronic is OUTRAGEOUS. I've heard rumors that it's a puppet, and that's how he can move so beautifully, but I refuse to believe that!

    How did they do this?! Ursula moves really well, too, but there's a lot more room in her arms for appropriate wiring. Lumiere is so tiny! It's truly amazing to watch, and I just want to know all of the answers.

    I don't know the details, but he was built, at least in part, by some kind of fancy watchmaker.

    It's a combination of puppetry style mechanics and careful set dressing and lighting. His face uses the same technology now in use on the dwarfs in 7DMT.

    Lumiere's face, head, and body movements are all projected, while his arms are moved by sticks.
