For anyone who has been recently... is Disney fulfilling their luggage promise of delivery within 3 hours as of late? We are arriving at 6pm, and I'm trying to decide whether to pick up the luggage and take it with us to ME. 3 hours would put it at 9pm which is doable... anything later than 9pm I would be annoyed.

Thoughts?

Ours got here right as we were heading out to the park, so probably about less than an hour after we did. (Coronado) I was shocked!

My thought has always been......If we are going to arrive at a time when our room will be ready, I take my bags with me. If I am going to arrive early in the day and go straight to the theme parks, then I use the delivery service. If I was arriving at 6 P.M. and not going to a theme park, then I would get them at baggage claim.

But remember, it’s 3hrs after arrival at your resort, not landing at the airport. So, a 6:00 landing could easily mean 10:00 for luggage delivery. And it’s handled by Bags Inc not Disney.

I'd grab it. I wouldn't want to be forced to stay up until eleven to get my toothbrush. It's an added hassle because you have a lot to juggle, but my bet is that it's less of a hassle than waiting up for bags before you can wind down and sleep.

Yeah... that's what I was originally thinking, then today I was like... well maybe... and now I'm back to... nope, just get our bags!

If I were you I'd err on the side of caution and get the bags. It only takes a few minutes to grab them off the carousel and get over to DME. Then you have the peace of mind in knowing that you won't possibly get hung up waiting for them.

I've always picked up my bag and carried it with me into the bus. It only takes a few minutes. I like knowing that it's travelling with me and that I can change into my Disney "attire" as soon as we get to our room.

It was convenient not picking it up last time, but we usually come in super early in the day, this time it's later... so I'm going to pick them up and bring them with!

If your room is far from the entrance, (Pop right?) you can always request assistance with your luggage from bell services.
It was offered to me last week at Pop.

Movies for 2 nights, then Pop the rest... we are also going to take our luggage with us in an uber from Movies to Pop... I don't want to wait all day for it there either!

I'll also add that I've always had terrible luck with luggage delivery at the values. They've never hit the three hour window for me once. Last time they came knocking on our door at 1am when we had arrived at the hotel around 7pm. Oddly it's always within the window at the moderates and above. I want to imagine it's just a numbers thing, but I don't know.
