Does anybody know what will happen to Star Tours after Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opens? Close it, keep it where it is (separated from the rest of the Star Wars Galaxy's Edge), or move it to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge?

(Apologies if this question is answered elsewhere. I looked but couldn't find it.)

It is not moving. Rumor is that it will be re-themed sometime after Star Wars Land opens.

Jim Hill says Star Tours will stay beyond 2019 at the studio's request to continue updating the preshows with each new movie, for capacity purposes, and in case Galaxy's Edge fails to drive in attendance ala Pandora (thanks to fans wanting to experience the original trilogy). He also says that worst case scenario, SWGE pulls an Epcot circa 1984, bringing the original trilogy characters into the park because "so what if it doesn't fit the land timeline, the public wants it."

I think the best case scenario is really to keep Star Tours. Let Galaxy's Edge be about that specific story they're trying to tell, and let Star Tours be the place where anything goes. Jedi Training, new scenes for new movies, Darth Vader next to Kylo Ren, etc. I think Star Wars is too big to pin down to only one time and/or place.
