Living With the Land...in peril?

My understanding is that security caught up with the group at Soarin'.

At any rate...I personally blame shows like Jackass. Sure, it's funny, but obviously people think it's okay to try obnoxious crap in the real world and everyone ends up paying for it through either new rules, things being taken away (charcoal grills at a park near us), etc.
Thats good news, i never heard anything past the infamous video. Seemed at the time nobody knew what if anything had been done.

I assume eventually it will be the death knell to imagination, something will break and it will be found out that its too costly (ROI) to repair and perfect time to close it. Luckily Land and PM are popular, keeping them from not reopening.

EPCOT having a "lack of imagination" due to delayed maintenance and a refusal to reinvest in its core mission is a little too on the nose

yes, and the slap on the wrist-everything will be ok-nothing has consequences-if somebody says something we’ll hug you and make the mean person go away society.

I’ll get off my soapbox now. (I remained fully on it for the entire rant and am at offload now FYI)

I would never want this to happen, but if they had their hearts set on retheming it to an IP I've always though Wall-E might be a good contender.

Consequences are important. We need to teach that to the people who think they're too mean. (Yes, I'm 100% THAT mom that will embarrass you in front of the entire world if you dare sass me in public.)

Yes. But the delay isn’t waiting for an inspection.
Ok, I'll take a crack at it.

My guess is that the controller board for the fire detection system died and due to supply chain issues, they are having trouble getting a new one.

Or they can't get a replacement so they are switching out panels. They had to do that at my building several years ago once the system hit end of life. But that only took 2 days for them to swap out the panel and test it.

Figured the cucumbers were recruiting to get the band back. You know, Veggie Veggie! Fruit, Fruit!
Must not tell them that pavillion no longer exists!
chapek and d'amaro? reopening a closed attraction? impossible.

they can only sell retro merchandise of the attraction and have references in current attractions for nostalgia-bait. anything else wouldn't be more timeless, more relevant or more disney enough.

You know what's funny?
When did Josh D'Amaro get sucked into Chapek mocking? He has been a parks guy for years and has never seemed like Chapek to me...

In my wildest imaginings, this all has to do with the surprise return of Kitchen Cabaret.

If we can dream it, then we can do it!

I got it! Make the boat ride go the other direction, start with all of the greenhouses and end with a new Kitchen Kabaret where the other house and animatronic forest/desert/jungle scenes are now, and it shows how those fruits and vegetables get into your kitchen

/me gets awarded Imagineer of the year

*sobs* thank you so much *sobs*

As soon as that lady stepped out of the boat, all boats should have been stopped for a delay. Allowing security to get to the exit of the ride. Then she should have been arrested and the maximum fines plus lifetime ban.
Exactly. If you set a a standard that when you do something like this, you get the book plus the kitchen sink thrown at you, it will stop. I get they might not want to make a scene in front of the other guests. But if the other guests see some jack wipe getting hauled off in cuffs for being an idiot. That word travels fast.

I think WDW tries to be discreet with this to not ruin the " magic ". I've seen armed Orange County deputies inside Epcot for a disturbance during Food and Wine and then escort the individual without handcuffs to a back area away from peering eyes.
