However, when the change in the film's release date was announced and the first official image surfaced online, it featured the titular princess along with the seven dwarfs, which look very similar to the ones in the animated film.

Yeah, the Chinese knockoff DVD you can find in a bin at the dollar store, maybe.

The moment the "fake" photo was leaked, the rendering with SW and the dwarfs should have been released immediately. For some unknown reason, Disney chose to wait until after they announced the films delay to 2025 to show the most recent rendering with the dwarfs.

Either TWDC is trolling their own fans or the dwarfs were not initially intended to be in the film.

The "magical hobos" as you call them don't appear to be magical at all. They appear to be just a group of bandits where Burnap's character is the leader. Its only been an assumption they were the "magical creatures", which we now know its wrong.

As for the CGI, obviously opinions will vary on the looks. I personally don't think they look bad. But if they don't move it back to 2024 they have plenty of time to "fix" any issues with it.

SW2024 has been delayed a year so they can add the dwarfs back in and change the magical creatures to bandits.

They got a lot of work ahead to fix this thing.

I wonder what the final costs for this (movie?) will be.

And so Disney suddenly pushed Snow White back a full year to March, 2025 because they only wanted to do 6 movies in 2024? After Wish debuts on Thursday, Disney's flagship studios will have nothing in theaters until Memorial Day '24. Six months!

They pushed Snow White out of its March '24 debut just to get six months of silent breathing room to kick off 2024 with nothingness, while Snow White sits completed on the shelf for another year?

I have no idea if they will tweak anything with Snow White in terms of content. But they can move it back into 2024 at any time, which they may do we don't know. They may really just be trying to let things settle down a bit even if the film is completely finished.

As for the rest of their 2024 slate, now that the strike is over (still pending ratification) they can move release dates yet again. Things adjust all the time for various reasons at every studio, so there is no reason to think they can't or won't move up releases of new films into 2024 as needed.

Especially, Given their light release schedule in 2024.

It was the actors strike, same reason why other studios moved movies around the same time. It was unknown at the time when it was moved that the strike would be over in a couple weeks. Unless of course you think that Paramount which moved MI:8 also a whole year into 2025 only a couple days before also has "changes" to its film.

The actors strike pushed back an already shot movie from its release date in spring 2024 to 2025?

It required that much post-production work they needed and extra year based on the actors strike?
