Each year Disney raises the price of the tickets and each year we all grumble a little, vowing not to return until they come to their senses and lower the prices for once! So with that being said, what is the price tag do you think that Disney will stop at for a single day ticket? Right now, with taxes, its already around $101.18 for Magic Kingdom and still around $95 for the others. Definitely multi day tickets are the best way to go, but there has to be a breaking point for Disney to raise they single day tickets! Does anyone have any inside information on what they will cap single day tickets at!?

This is a fun question to ask, there is no need for negative comments

I think it's ridiculous as is. I would've voted lower if it was an option.

We were lucky that we had a AAA membership, they are still selling tickets at the old price for now. We leave for Disney tomorrow morning, and were planning on getting our tickets there, but did it through AAA this time to save the money.

So if you are a AAA member and have a trip planned, I recommend buying tickets through them now, even if your trip isn't for a while. :)

I don't think this question is really answerable because inflation alters prices each year. So your dollar is worth less each year. Without inflation, I would say what it is now is ridiculous. But in a few years as is, reasonable.

Keeping this short and sweet....tickets are ridiculous now so I voted for what it is now (which will not be the case for ticket increases will be done again next summer, but I know I will still pay to go to Disney even if my family doesn't go with me haha :p

To me as an international visitor this whole one day pass seems extortionate (sp) at the current rate. Here's why,
a Orlando Flexi ticket plus will cost me £418 ( $627 approx)
The 14 night disney ticket is £578 ( $867 approx)
Now on the face of it the UNI/Seaworld ticket seems like a much better deal but lets look at it like this;
Of the 14 days i am in Florida they will break down kinda like this
2 days for UNI/IOA
1 day for Seaworld
1 day for the malls etc
10 days at Disney
so .... £418 / 3 days = £139 ( $208 ) per day at UNI
£578 / 10 days = £58 ($87) per day at Disney

So yes the price is way high for a single day pass but it doesn't affect the international trade .

Just like salary caps, there should be ticket price caps! Well, I know that will never happen, but the prices should be lower IMHO.:( I would never pay for just a single day ticket. I would only pay a package price, and even those increases are getting to be "unaffordable".:( It is sad really.:( I know so many families that will never be able to afford a Disney vacation, even if they stayed @ a value resort.:( But, Disney knows that we will pay, so they continue to increase prices. Just like everything else.:(

Like another poster said I would not mind paying the second option if we saw an increase in quality and in my own opinion less resources being dumped into DVC. Increasing crowd levels with DVC properties and not re-investing all of the upfront money they are raking in from it is building a house of cards and I know myself that on our trip in September I am going to be taking a pretty critical look at overall return on investment of our vacation dollar to decide if we could get more for our dollar in terms of enjoyment or relaxation elsewhere in 2014 and moving forward.

I think around $85 is the most attractive price point. Falling below the 80's lowers the price perception of quality and above the 80's is pricing a lot of people out of a single day. The plan must be to increase the value added for multiple day tickets. Keep 'em coming in and buying souvenirs, drinks and turkey legs.

I think at the current price it should include an upgrade to a park hopper. There simply aren't enough attractions at any single park to make a single day price feasible.... But who can really spend ONLY 1 day? :Do_O

The single day cap should be at the price point at which there is an unacceptable drop in park attendance. The consumer will dictate the price cap.

I do think the ticket prices are ridiculous... and i'm going to go slightly off topic here...

...The PARKING prices are disgusting! Charging all the money when you spend all that money on your tickets! It's disgusting and i don't know how they can justify it! And when will that stop? Charging a dollar more every year? Makes me so angry!

Of course, the lowest pricing option would be the one everyone picks. Disney is expensive enough as it is and most of us feel we're not getting the best bang for the buck. The price is high compared to other theme parks but for the most part, I do agree that they're not exactly targeting the single-day visitors when most people are purchasing multi-day tickets to begin with or are buying annual passes. But still, the Magic Kingdom is the most visited theme park in the entire world so the demand is there and as stated earlier, it's inflation.

I think $100 per day is about as high as they could go, at some point they are going to price people out of the park. I already know of some people who want to take their kids to WDW but don't bc of the cost.

Honestly though the only way the price stops going up is when people stop buying tickets, which will probably never happen.

So for me if I do a solo trip, I can do it on the cheap with my pre bought 10 day park hopper no expiration at a discounted price, value hotel with a discount in the fall and QS meals/snacks.

However, if I had a family of four, then there's tickets for everyone, probably want to stay at Poly and have TS meals, oh and a couple $15 balloons...with tickets around $100, that starts to become a little insane.
