Pre-Trip Less than 45 days to go...I cannot believe it!

This is my first time planning a WDW trip, and hopefully, my plan reflects all the good advice and tips I read from so many different sources!

The last time I was at WDW I believe I was just shy of my 5th birthday and the distant memories of this magical place have been a large cornerstone in my childhood. I am so excited I get to share this amazing place with my son who is blossoming into a Disney fanatic just like his Mom!

We love to watch an older Disney TV special, "Disney's Halloween Treat," featuring a fantastically scored intro with dancing skeletons. He sings that song for days after watching it on the internet.

Our visit will coincide with Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival, and I am looking forward to more spring/summer like weather.

I'm not sure if attaching images/files of pre-trip plans makes viewing easier, but please take a look and let me know if my plan makes sense or if I've made some horrendous error in judgment!

Your plans sound great to me! We did Hoop-Dee-Do the first time last year and we had a great time. They even were good with picky kids. We also did the Family Magic Tour and my kids really enjoyed it. They got a different perspective of MK. It was nice being at MK and not having to rush to any rides.

My son is 5 years old, and I am wondering if the Family Magic Tour will engage him? I hear it's set up like a treasure hunt, which I tried one for his birthday and he struggled to "stick with it". I think he will be excited at first, but there is a strong possibility that he may be distracted as we move through the park. No matter how it turns out, I hope we can enjoy it no matter what my son's level of engagement is. I just wonder if there is a chance that if my son doesn't "stick with it" that can limit the experience of others (outside our family) who are on the tour with us?

Thank you so much for your feedback! This is fun to talk to people who have already been to WDW!!

When we did The Family Magic Tour my kids were 7,5 and 2. While my 2 year old just came along for the ride my 7 and 5 year old had a great time. At the end you also get a private meet and greet with a character. When we did it it was Peter Pan and Wendy. I would recommend the tour. It really is geared toward young kids.

Sounds like a great trip planned. I'll miss you by 1 day as I check out on Mar 31st. You seem to have many of my personal favorites planned to (Ohana, Sanaa, Hoop Dee Doo, Yachtsman, Cape May Cafe). I hope you have an amazing vacation

Everything sounds great! Your son will have a wonderful time. I remember when my son was that age he wanted to swim in the pools more than anything so the waterparks were definitely a good idea. :)
