Trip Report Last Minute Cruise - Disney Wish February 2025

Seriously, this trip was incredibly last minute. We had been throwing around the possibility of taking a cruise since the December 2024 trip and we had cancelled several prior to that. Disney released great deals on select cruises so it was becoming more of a reality. However, the husband kept dragging his feet and only made a decision a week or two before the cruise departure date AFTER the sale had ended on the cruises we were watching so he ended up paying more than necessary. Which meant plane tickets were expensive for those still available. And that meant a road trip from Virginia would be required. This was my first ever cruise and only his second (and he hardly remembered the first one when he was a teenager lol).

Who: Me and the husband, R
Why: He said it was for his birthday and was discouraged with our home search
When: Road trip started Feb 1st, Cruise started Feb 3, and a road trip back home
What: Besides the cruise, we had absolutely no idea what we were going to be doing or staying (major anxiety from me ensued)
Where: Disney Wish, All Star Music, and various places along I-95

I'm still having issues with my technology (must get a new computer!) but it's doing better than it was in December. And with no surprise trips planned, I should be able to finish this one much more quickly. I promise I'll try :)

So none of my Disney trips can occur with some kind of drama from my in laws and this trip was no exception. After the holidays, I told R that we were going on vacation during the holidays next year - I'm tired of this nonsense LOL. So now I'm trying to plan ahead for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas.

We left by 9AM on Saturday morning to start the road trip. It was nice to be able to overpack and not have to worry about checked luggage, fitting everything in our carryons, or liquid rules. A couple days before leaving, a room at All Star Music opened up for only $123 for the night so I grabbed it. I was hoping that the cheerleaders would be more quiet since it was the last day of competition. We thought about going to Epcot for the Festival of the Arts but none of the food options really appealed to us this time. So instead we loosely planned on going to Blizzard Beach since it was free on check in day. But we were playing it by ear to see how we did on our time and the weather when we arrived. I was just glad to be spending one day on Disney property after all!

The weather was looking good and traffic was more congested than it used to be on Saturday morning. But we were still making good time and soon we were in Florence, SC where we had to stop and see what Buc-ee's was all about.

PXL_20250201_192341517.jpg

And, oh my gosh, the crowds were insane! It definitely was not ideal for someone with claustrophobia but the bathrooms were very nice. I got the pork bbq sandwich and R got the brisket one.

PXL_20250201_193531326.jpg

I've had better but it wasn't bad for gas station food and it was quick, which was nice. I do wish that they had places to eat outside though. After a short break from the road, we hopped back onto 95 with plans to stop in Brunswick for the night.

PXL_20250201_223525316.jpg

I couldn't remember the place we used to stay during our previous road trips to Disney but Holiday Inn Express and Suites had decent reviews so that's where we ended up. And things did NOT start well. Our first room still had all of the cleaning equipment in it so we went back downstairs to let the front desk know. The housekeeper was sitting in the lobby watching TV and said he could go upstairs and move it. I told him it was fine, that I would rather be moved anyways because there was a loud room right down the hall and wanted someplace quieter. So then we were moved to the second room which we couldn't enter because the key wouldn't work so I go back downstairs and the front desk person fixed it. We looked in the room and it was fine. But upon leaving, we saw that the door was actually broken and wouldn't latch because pieces of wood were missing. The manager was there when I went back downstairs again and was shocked to hear it and that the room wasn't taken out of rotation. They reduced the cost of the room to $100 a night for my issues after I mentioned just going to another hotel. But R was tired, hungry, and not interested in moving so we just took the new room that was offered. It was nice but loud due to the road directly behind the hotel. Here are the pictures, excuse the messy room but I only remembered to take pictures the day we checked out.

And in case anyone is interested in the bathroom door dimensions LOL

PXL_20250202_123446179.jpg

The blackout curtain was very nice and they had some of the softest bedding I've ever experienced in a hotel. But the bath amenities were all over the place and a dirty wash cloth still hanging over the shower curtain from a previous guest.

This is the road located behind our room. Your mileage may vary in terms of the noise but it sounded like people kept racing and there's an exit to 95 a little down the road.

PXL_20250202_123737911.jpg

I have no pictures of the small gym (which did look nice) or the small outdoor pool, which didn't look like it was kept up all that well but maybe it was because it was off season.

But yall, the woman working the breakfast was one point! They had a free hot breakfast that was really good. The bacon was crispy and the biscuits were light and fluffy. I complemented her on fixing such great bacon (which I don't really like all that much) and another woman who heard was surprised to find out that it was made fresh every morning.

PXL_20250202_130325470.jpg

PXL_20250202_130330311.jpg

I don't have pics of R had but I got the omelet with bacon.

PXL_20250202_125144744.jpg

And the perfect, buttery light and fluffy biscuit

PXL_20250202_125908026.jpg

They even had POG juice!

PXL_20250202_130337472~2.jpg

We might stay here again just for the free, good breakfast. The road (and Disney) were beckoning so we got back onto 95. We were hoping to get to Disney property by 11AM but it was closer to noon.

It didn't take long before we were crossing the Florida border

PXL_20250202_135801832.jpg

We were able to stop at the Florida Visitor Center where R was able to get a cup of fresh orange juice

PXL_20250202_141049816~2.jpg

I was able to pick up some visitors guides since most places no longer mail them out. Yes, I'm at that age where I prefer to have a hard copy over a digital one :) At the Visitors Center they had these comics and a box of Band Aids that I just had to pick up - Captain Citrus!

PXL_20250202_141333961.jpg

Jacksonsville traffic always scares me as do its roads. GPS had us take 295 around it so we missed a lot the worst of it. And, I am discovering that the older I get, the more I become like my mother because I'm now uncomfortable on higher bridges...

PXL_20250202_143607625.jpg

The traffic was worse on I-4 than it was during our previous road trips. Luckily, we had EZ Pass so we could afford some of the worst of it. We were nervous about staying at an All Star resort but it was just for one night. You can't really complain about $120ish dollars at Disney LOL. I forgot to mention that we were originally booked at AS Sports, which I was not happy about and I was considering upgrading to Coronado Springs but it didn't seem worth an extra $100/night but then when I looked a few nights before leaving, a standard room had opened at Music so I snapped it up real fast.

I was ready as we were approaching these gates

PXL_20250202_170320406.jpg

I received a text that our room wasn't yet ready so when we got to the lobby, I asked a CM if there was a room ready in a section away from the cheerleaders. She looked and there was one. We were placed in the Broadway section near the parking lot. It was actually tucked into a quiet little corner, which we liked.

PXL_20250202_175950641.jpg

Pardon our mess again, but I had to rearrange my packing as I made a mistake in the clothing planning :)

PXL_20250202_173323203.MP.jpg

The room was very toasty but I was able to override the thermostat settings and soon it was getting cool enough for my likings.

PXL_20250202_173350740.jpg

R went into the room completely clueless about anything All Star resorts and he was very pleasantly surprised by the room. I wouldn't mind staying here again for shorter trips but it might get too cramped for us for longer stays. And I missed the 2 sinks.

Here is the cleaning schedule in case others haven't seen it.

PXL_20250203_015815009.jpg

After we got freshened up, we walked around the resort and took some pictures while walking to the bus stop. I think this was my favorite section.

PXL_20250202_180233046.jpg

We decided not to do the water park since it was already close to 1PM and he wanted to eat at Polite Pig. Maybe next time.

I took this picture to send to a cousin of mine whose son loves the arcades at Disney resorts to let her know about the arcade competition. I meant to do the scavenger hunt but it totally slipped my mind soon after taking this picture.

PXL_20250202_225845104.MP.jpg

PXL_20250202_230004122.jpg

We went to the gift shop to buy a resort pin. We had a nice conversation with the CM about our upcoming cruise - and I was getting more nervous the closer it was to becoming reality. After our purchase, we got in line for the bus for Disney Springs, which arrived less than 2 minutes later.

PXL_20250202_182511536.jpg

I was pleasantly surprised to see the large bendy buses in use at the AS resorts for MK. I wish they were still being used at Riverside but I never saw them once while we were there in December. Maybe they brought them out because of the cheer/dance competitions? We did run into many noisey groups and were hoping for a quiet night.

It felt so nice to be back on Disney property. Mind boggling to think it was our 3rd trip in less than 12 months, which is something we never thought we could do. I miss my little Pip horribly but the many vacations do help take my mind off of it.

When we got to Disney Springs, we went straight to Polite Pig and were shocked at the lines during an off dining time on a Sunday. I was able to snag a table outside when R got to the register to place the order. Thankfully the weather was fantastic and not too hot or humid. I got their Cobb salad and was reminded just how large it was. And R got his go to chicken but with the mac and cheese and cole slaw as the side.

PXL_20250202_190107658.jpg

PXL_20250202_190110763.jpg

The plan was for me to get the steak and cheese at Pepe but the salad was more filling than I remembered. So we went into the M&M store. I saw this shirt and a matching cup.

PXL_20250202_205712245.jpg

I sent a pic to my friend back home because she is very particular about coffee mugs and this one looked like her type. Plus, we are two anxiety filled peri-menopausal women so I thought the message was very fitting LOL. It was her kind of mug and I asked if she wanted me to pick one up for her. She looked online at their store and it was in stock and they did shipping. So she ordered it. She placed the order on Sunday and received it on Tuesday so it was a very quick turn around. I would've bought the shirt but orange is a ghastly color on me. Truly, it's just awful beyond words.

I wanted to stop by Glazed donuts to see if anything tempted R. And sure enough, he had to have this one.

PXL_20250202_210512403.jpg

He said it was a very good donut! We walked around some, browsed some stores, fought the crowds in World of Disney, while I was fighting nostalgia over how much I prefered the old store with the statues in the ceiling. Then I remembered I wanted to go to the Patisterrie since I forgot last two trips. There was no line when we got there but it quickly grew. R wasn't going to get anything because of the donut but then he saw the creme brulee. I struggled with making a choice and settled on the Goofy mini cake which had peanut butter mousse.
PXL_20250202_220214912.jpg

We both loved them!! The orange on the Goofy cake was much brighter in person and was almost too pretty to eat. But I did. The small milk we also purchased came in handy to cut the sweetness. While eating our desserts, we discussed what to do next. We were going to go to CBR or Pop/AoA but the bus was already at All Star Music stop so back to the resort we went.

We decided to walk around AS Movies to see which we liked better. The pools at Music were decent for the size of the resort but the one at Movies was being refurbished.

PXL_20250202_230340160.jpg

We didn't get pictures of R's favorite section of Fantasia but did get a few in the others.

PXL_20250202_230912757.jpg

PXL_20250202_230938618.jpg

I never did much like 101 Dalmations especially after I realized what Cruella was doing. Instant and lifelong hate for the movie. But Toy Story was much happier.

PXL_20250202_232144828.jpg

PXL_20250202_232127951.jpg

And I had to get a picture of me with Herbie because I grew up watching those movies

PXL_20250202_232706037.MP~2.jpg

The light was working against us with this picture and this was the best we could get. If I'm here again, I'll do it earlier in the day when the sun has a different placement. We looked into the food court at Movies and I preferred the theming here. But it was this point, I realized I was getting hungry. So back to Movies we went.

I got the garlic shrimp with string beans and cauliflower while R got a slice of pizza with carrots and celery.

IMG_20250202_214006.jpg

IMG_20250202_214000.jpg

I couldn't believe the amount of shrimp the CM gave me. And it was all extremely good. But the events of the day were catching up to us and we were crashing hard. So we went back to the room for an early night. It did stay very quiet and we couldn't hear the chanting cheerleaders in the "road" in the middle of the Broadway section.

R asked me if I remembered to include the following bits into the trip report:

1. While at the hotel in Brunswick, I was talking to the front desk agent who was originally from my area. And his family was related to one of my Mom's friends.

2. While looking at the bourbon selection at Polite Pig, we started a conversation with a couple sitting at the bar. Turns out they were from a town close to my hometown. It was an area I was looking at possibly moving to so they were able to answer some of my questions :)

R always tells me he can't take me anywhere without it becoming a 7 Degrees of Kevin Bacon skit.

Tuesday - Boarding The Wish

We slept late since check out was at 11AM and our PAT time was 1:30-1:45PM in boarding group 24. We went to get breakfast at the food court. On the way, we saw Disney nature :)

PXL_20250203_152421720.jpg

There were tons of dance groups checking out and we were concerned about crowds in the food court but it was almost empty. And, again, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the western omelet was.

PXL_20250203_143817885.jpg

And R got the standard platter option

PXL_20250203_143819770.jpg

We were taking the toll road to the port so we didn't have to worry too much about traffic but we did have to find a place to stop and get gas that was close by. I think GPS took us to the Wal-Mart area. The CM working at the register tried to give us directions to one on property but it didn't really make any sense. But thank you for trying to help us :)

I wish I had pictures for the following section but my brain just didn't think about it until way later. We got off the toll road because I wanted to see Cocoa Beach and we still have an hour and a half until our PAT time. We crossed the first bridge at Indian River and was met with a wall of fog. We were not expecting that near noon. It had cleared up when we got to Merritt Island. We really liked this area. After using the bathroom, we went on to Cocoa Beach. Were everyone else was always waiting LOL. After not finding any free parking available and a long line to get into the parking lot with a fee (not worth it for just an hour), we decided to head towards Port Canaveral with the hopes that the attendant would let us park early.

PXL_20250203_174016333.jpg

This was my first time ever seeing a cruise ship and despite knowing how large they were, I was still astounded by the size of the Wish!

PXL_20250203_174657561.jpg

PXL_20250203_174909793.jpg

We had to wait a while because the bridge was up and by the time we got to the garage it was close to 1PM. We found a convenient spot on the second floor of the parking garage after dropping off our largest bag and soon they were letting us go through security. I asked and they were already doing general boarding and letting everyone onto the ship. So we technically could've arrived earlier. We also found out that the ship was fully booked. Not one room still available on this extremely large passenger vessel :) Not something we considered since it was in February sandwiched between federal holidays, which we avoided for this very reason. Is there ever a slow season on DCL?

Sorry for the delay but we've been watching a needy dog who is claiming all of my attention and a lot of my pictures were accidentally deleted so I have to do that again. But we've been looking into taking another Disney cruise and we've realized two things:

1. We didn't have the "normal" lobby experience. Do the different terminals have a different entrance? I didn't take that many pictures because things were more rushed than we were expecting it to be but I'll show what I mean in the next entry in the trip report.

2. We're used to the typical sea smell that we have along the east coast - can't describe it other than the salt and the sea. However, once we got back home, I realized (and R agreed) that there wasn't a "sea" smell floating on the ocean. And that the beach at Castaway Cay didn't have that ocean smell either.

I'm still mulling over the second LOL.

Monday - Embarkation Day continued

Here is where things get fuzzy for both R and I. After we parked the car and made our way to the terminal, we got into a line outside going up an escalator. From that line, our docs were checked and we merged into a long security line.

PXL_20250203_180704396.jpg

The lines were moving fast and soon we were ushered into another room with another line for first time cruisers to do our official check in. I had a picture of this but I guess it was one that was deleted. This is when we found out it was now open boarding. After being checked in and our MagicBands+ connected, we were on our way to ship. We had no time to relax, take pictures, observe our surroundings, etc. We don't even remember seeing the famous Mickey head gate LOL.

PXL_20250203_183054307.jpg

We didn't get a photo package because we weren't sure if we would get enough pictures to justify the price, so we skipped over the photo spots. We had our name called and was just in awe of the lobby! It was so gorgeous. We have no pictures of this moment because there were people everywhere! It was around 1PM and we wanted to eat before the muster drill at 3:30 so we went to see if our room was ready. And it was! We got our keys and walked right in - plus our luggage was already by our door waiting for us. I wasn't expecting that quick a turnaround!

PXL_20250203_183855659.jpg

We absolutely loved this location and it's proximity to Marceline Market and the drink stations on Deck 11. R had absolutely wanted a verandah so that ws the first place he headed. Only to be met with that same wall of fog 😂 It moved out quickly though. This was the strangest fog I've ever experienced LOL.

PXL_20250203_214559183.jpg

Meanwhile I got pictures of the room before we unpacked. As you can see, the fog was starting to lift.

PXL_20250203_183944289.jpg

PXL_20250203_183956875.MP.jpg

This was the deluxe family category, I think, so it had more floor space near the verandah where the bed can be pulled down. We loved the extra space, especially for my first cruise since I was worried about feeling claustrophobic.

We had a Moana themed room :)

PXL_20250203_214702136.jpg

And this was the split bathroom design.

PXL_20250203_184254459.jpg

PXL_20250203_184319377.MP.jpg

The shower was fantastic after we adjusted the showerhead. The water was hot, the water pressure was better than some WDW resorts we've stayed at, and the AC got cold enough for me to sleep well. I have no complaints about this room! We also met the people right next door since we both got to our rooms at the same time. I think they were a mother and adult son from France. They weren't the friendliest but they didn't make much noise, so thank you :)

I put up the door magnets that I ordered way back in 2015 so we could find our room again and went off to get some lunch at Marceline Market.

Monday, continued

We rushed off to Marceline Market to get some lunch because breakfast had worn off. We got a seat by the windows and got to look over the port.

PXL_20250203_185739059.jpg

PXL_20250203_185741745.jpg

PXL_20250203_192012098.jpg

We may have made ourselves into little piglets but the food was really good! But you have to save room for dessert :)

PXL_20250203_193745270.jpg

After eating, we needed to go to Tritons to see whether we could get a private table. But it was a completely sold out and booked ship so we had very low expectations. They told us they had put us with 2 other couples who were about the same age as us but would put us on the wait list. That done, we went off to explore the ship before the muster drill.

PXL_20250203_195606118.jpg

R wanted to see all the bars to check out the Pappy situation and prices LOL.

IMG_20250303_215754.jpg

Yeah, all of the prices were way too much. But later on back home, a local burger joint had one of them for $30 so he was able to try it. But don't ask me which one it was because I don't recall but I think it was the one that was a 12 year. It was time for our muster drill, which was in the Marvel restaurant so we went to that. And came across a very irritating woman in a scooter - negative attitude, loud booming voice, etc. I thought to myself "hopefully we don't run across her anymore this trip" - foolish thinking because we legit saw her ALL.THE.TIME!!!! Spoiler alert - we kept bumping into the same few groups over and over this trip lol.

The muster drill was quick and easy and they let us depart through the emergency outside doors where we would be boarding the raft. Pretty cool. We decided to ride the slide down to check out the kids area. I was impressed by the hand washing situation and I wish those were installed everywhere!

PXL_20250203_205715821.jpg

The Star Wars section was really neat

PXL_20250203_205841009.jpg

But it was packed and we wanted to see the Marvel area

PXL_20250203_205935930.jpg

The Black Widow suit and on the other side was Captain America, who was my favorite :)

PXL_20250203_210003820.jpg

With the shops still closed and every bar/lounge packed, we went back to the room to get unpacked.

After unpacking and assigning bathrooms for our things (I claimed the one with the shower LOL), we made our way to the first show as we had the 8:15 dining. I forgot the name of the welcome show this night but we got seats in the 2nd floor balcony area and had perfect seats for the stage. And the line outside the theater wasn't as crowded as it was for the main floor. The show as a nicea start to the trip. We had the cruise director Kristian introduce himself. After the show, we went checked out some of the shopping and I saw a few things that I wanted to get later in the trip. We also got free ice cream cone (which was chocolate, vanilla, and swirl today). The late dinner was really messing with both of us because we like to eat early. We went back to the room to get ready for dinner.

IMG_20250303_215747.jpg

We noticed on the way there that our table number had changed. They did change us to a different table with 2 other women on a 6 seat table so we had the middle seats between us empty. They were not friendly and had no interest in us at all - not even to say hello. But they certainly did a lot of loud talking, which kinda dominated the table. My husband is the talkative sort but I'm introverted and don't like makign small talk with strangers so it was okay with me. But it wouldn't have killed them to be a little bit nicer and more polite.

PXL_20250204_012120294.jpg

This was the regular dinner service bread, they brought me out the boring GF ones you find at every Disney restaurant. But the butter was really nice and I would frequently steal the dipping sauce.

Our servers were absolutely fantastic and she did a great job with my food restrictions. I'm celiac but I don't have the typical symptoms and I can usually tolerate small amounts of gluten just fine. But I really have to plan meals out in advance so that I can limit my gluten intake. So I would usually order the next night's dinner at the end of the meal. It worked out fantastically.

Here is the GF menu for Marvel

PXL_20250204_012648020.MP.jpg

PXL_20250204_012654904.jpg

The GF pot stickers were wonderful and had a great flavor. Pleasantly surprised.

PXL_20250204_015133470.jpg

This is R's appetizer but I can't remember what it was but it said it was good

PXL_20250204_015136092.jpg

This was the GF pasta and scallops. It's a very basic, safe entree but the scallops were perfection and it all had a very nice flavor to it.

PXL_20250204_020759473.jpg

R hasn't yet sent me all of the pictures he took so some of his food pictures are missing.

PXL_20250204_013058374.MP.jpg

We were so busy eating that we weren't really paying attention to the screens. And my seat had a bad viewing angle. This was was zoomed in but we were in a darker corner. R had a view of the screen that was behind me.

This was my GF dessert. The cake was a little dry (not unusual with GF cakes) but it was nice. It just reminded me of a cake that had been left in the refrigerator a little bit too long.

PXL_20250204_022248286.jpg

This was R's dessert. And I don't remember what he said about it but I know he couldn't finish it all.

PXL_20250204_022252018.jpg

By the time we left, it was after 9:30PM and we were getting exhausted. So we went back to the room to get ready for bed. The next day was a sea day and we had no activities planned. But R did want to wake up early to watch the sun rise.

Up next - Day at Sea and another first for me :)

Tuesday - Day at Sea

Sorry for the delay but tech problems and other stuff :) For some reason, I was up bright and early this morning, just in time to wake up R so that he could see the sun rise. When the time came to get up, he had no interest and just wanted to sleep. Me, being the loving and devoted wife that I am, made him get up anyway.

This was the few from our balcony. Since we were on Deck 10, we had the overhang, which we really did enjoy. It gave us more shade and would help protect from the rain (if we had any rain this trip, that is - the weather was always perfect!).

If you see a reflection in the above image, it's because R didn't want to go out on the balcony LOL.

It was a gorgeous experience - so peaceful and quiet. I wanted to go up on the top deck since I was already awake.

I totally regret not ever going into the lobby area and taking pictures when it was empty. Next time, I guess.

We went to the adult's only area and saw the smoking area (without any smokers). They have a great space up there!!!

The ocean was busier than I was ever expecting it to be. We saw a lot of cargo ships. I had pictures of these but now I'm realizing they were some of the ones I lost during transfer. We were walking around the deck to go get some breakfast when we saw something odd. R was like what is that out there? A weird kind of bird? But we couldn't figure it out. We went to Marceline Market to wait for breakfast to open and for me to get some decaf coffee (which wasn't bad). Then we heard the Captain cover over the speaker. We were stopped because we came across an Asian man trying to paddleboard from the Bahamas to FL. He refused to get on the ship so we had to wait where we were until the Coast Guard arrived. I had a screenshot from the Coast Guard's FB page but I can't find that either :banghead: But this gem survived!!!!

A lot of people were complaining that we were sitting still but R and I had no problems. There was no wind, the ocean was as calm as possible, and it wasn't affecting our arrival to Nassau since it was a day at sea. What did it matter if we were moving or floating - we were at sea :)

The captain would give announcements throughout the day. He once said we had to wait for a helicopter to arrive at 2PM but I don't know if that ever happened since we didn't stay on the deck to find out.

R wanted me to get pictures of the life preserver

We got seats by the window for breakfast. I'm not usually hungry but I definitely was this morning!

It was R's first time trying eggs benedict and he really enjoyed it. We came cross this little duck.

We enjoyed these Disney artworks probably more than two middle aged adults should have :)

And I have to pause here in the trip report for a mild spoiler in case I forget to mention it later - I was so overwhelmed by everything (first cruise ever, the ship being HUGE), that I have no picture of the large mural on the ship. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I saw the mural in someone else's vlog and I was like ?! I totally missed out on it. Never saw the rose in The Rose bar in the adult area despite walking by the door several times. And it wasn't until the very last night that I saw in the app that there was a place on the front top deck that had Dole Whips. So I missed out on that too! Now back to trip report....

We went back to the room for R to take a morning nap and for me to get ready for the day. After his nap, he wanted to stay on the balcony and read his book so I decided to explore the ship some more.

I think R adored these deck clocks LOL.

I think this was my favorite towel animal of the entire trip, which was out on the adult pool deck.

I went to check out the speciality ice cream shop and saw a few things I wouldn't mind trying later in the day.

Spoiler alert - I never did get to get anything I wanted. I went the last full day but they didn't have anymore of the treat I was wanting. Plus, I ate too much soft serve ice cream. Thoughout the 4 day cruise I had the vanilla, chocolate, the vanilla/chocolate swirl, 2 bananas, and 2 strawberry. I think R tried to mango when they had it one day. Maybe being on Deck 10 wasn't such a great idea after all!!!!

I went to the HM adult only trivia by myself since R had no interest.

I forgot the name of the lounge where it was held but it was the British pub one. Not going to lie, I felt a little lonely doing this by myself since everyone else was in a group and having fun talking and laughing over the questions. I did pretty good but there was no way in heck I could compete with the Disney experts that were on this trip :)

Feeling blue, I went shopping for a little dopamine high. They didn't have the shirt that I really wanted in my size so I had to get something else. When I got back to the room, R was ready to explore. Or maybe I made him go exploring with me. Same thing, right?

PXL_20250204_130533785.MP.jpg

And he had to walk into my shot LOL. It wasn't until I was looking closely at this picture that I noticed the glass slipper. R couldn't believe that I hadn't paid much attention to it but, like I've said, I was overwhelmed trying to look at everything :)

He noticed that he had gotten his hoodie dirty the night before (never figured out how) so we had to buy a new one. He found this in the gift shop on the pool deck area near the ice cream shop.

We were getting hungry for lunch so we had a little something at Marcelline Market. I know we took pictures but I can't find them either. However, I do have the pictures of the food at the pool deck that we had later, that held us over until our late dinner.

PXL_20250204_161548039.jpg

I had one taco of each - pork, chicken, and beef and they were all very good. I wish they had corn tortillas instead of flour though. I was watching my gluten intake and carefully planning my meals each day. I could've gotten them in a bowl but I wanted a taco dang it 😂

PXL_20250204_162441634.jpg

I can't remember if this was the afternoon that R watched Moana 2. I started the movie but then left him alone to go do another activity he didn't want to do. I have a gap in memory from the tacos to dinner. I know we went back to the room while he read and I texted a friend back home. Oh! I think this was the day we saw the pod of dolphins playing by the ship!!

We didn't have the best seats because of a column, so I told R to sit in the better seat since he likes Frozen a bit more than I do.

We really enjoyed the show and music. I just wish the layout of the space was a little bit different so that everyone could have a good view. We had another 6 top table that we shared with the same women from the day before. At this point, we assumed there wasn't going to be a 3rd couple and it was Disney's attempt to sit 2 parties of 2 at a private table and this was the best they could do.
