Staying at Beach Club Saturday to Saturday with 5 day ticket passes.
Can I make my last day (checkout day) a day at the park and go to and from the resort, even though I will no longer have a room , use the facilities, rest at the pool before we leave? How does it work? Does the magic band have a life? When will it cut out that day? In other words, how long can I use the resort on checkout day and can I come and go to the park that day?

You can use the resort facilities that day but not the room so keep that in mind if you want to go to the pool or something. You will be able to enter the pool but won't have access to the room to shower. Now, some pool bathrooms have showers (I know Riviera does). I also know sometimes you can ask for access to a hospitality suite that day to change but I heard it is first come first serve. I'd ask your hotel.

Your magic band will work even after your trip ( I hear it has an average lifespan of 2 years), you can keep it to use it in the future for other hotel stays or tickets. Keep in mind though that the access it gives you to changes with what you have scheduled. For example, your magic band will give you access to your room up until check-out. After that it won't open your room but will open other resort amenities as you have access to the resorts amenities the whole day of your check-out. Same with tickets, your magic band will let you into the parks if you have a valid ticket. Think of the band as a key/extension of the Disney app and your reservations.

We do this every trip! Just keep in mind that bell services might have other customers ahead of you. We've found that it's best to build in a 10 minute expectation window when planning to drop our bags off before heading out. And remember to pack your park bag a little different that day so you're prepared if you only get back in the nick of time to head to the airport.
