Kroger Disney Card 4x Fuel Points

I poked around to see if this was posted anywhere recently...didn't see anything, but apologies if it's redundant.

Kroger has their 4x fuel points on travel cards for rewards members going on through the 19th. $250 in Disney gift cards will net you $1 off per gallon (on a single fill up, up to $35). You can earn and redeem them in smaller amounts too (10 cents off per gallon per 100 points redeemed with the same conditions). Rewards expire about 6 weeks after earning them (the points I got yesterday expire 8/31), but with a couple cars, you still have time to make a nice dent, especially if you can get the full $35.

I'm new to the kroger thing so I'm not sure if you can get them with a rewards credit card to double up. I do know the store was confusing and the employees didnt really know what was going on. Disney is mentioned on their app as included in the 4x rewards, but signs in the store excluded them. An employee told me that only cards on a special 4x display were eligible. This ended up NOT being true. Just bought one to check and rolled from there. Points show up and can be used immediately too. So you can sign up on your phone instore and just use your phone # to get the rewards.

We've been using this for a while, particularly during the months leading up to a WDW trip. My wife got in the habit of buying Disney gift cards every time she shopped at Kroger, and the gas points are great. Unfortunately, we just moved away from Kroger grocery stores, so won't get the opportunity to use this much anymore...

We purchased our airline tickets last year with gift cards from Krogers. We had to go to the service desk to make the purchase because the amount was so large. The airline website also wouldn't take as many gift cards as I had, so I had to call their reservation number to make my reservations. The reservation lady told me that people do it all the time. I think we were able to fill out 10 to 15 times with the $1 off for the month we had the points.

Check out the other grocery stores as well. Giant Eagle, for example, has 20 cents off gas for every $50 in gift cards you buy, so you get the same $1 off your gas for your $250 in Disney Dollars. The thing that swings the difference for us though is that Kroger limits your rewards to $1 at a time (you can get a $2.50 gallon of gas for $1.50 which is still great) but Giant Eagle does not have that limit so if you buy enough groceries or gift cards, that $2.50 gallon of gas is free.

I love Kroger! It's the main store where we live, it's how we save for ALL our disney trips! It's easier than a savings account because the money can only be used for disney! :) AND getting that $1 off gas is huge for us! It all adds up to some extra money here and there! We also use Southwest gift cards from Kroger, though we have to be careful on those because you can only use 2 gift cards a purchase for Southwest; whereas Disney is unlimited!
