Just finished reading the third book last night, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I will say that the editing wasn't the best. I picked up on many mistakes throughout the book, such as Maybeck switching to Philby halfway through a scene when Philby wasn't supposed to be there. Just something I noticed.

I noticed some spelling and grammar errors.

Did anyone else attend the signing? I got there at 3:30 and the line was laready wraped outside Once Upon a Toy building. Took me over 3 hours to finally get through the line. The last time Ridley Pearson was here to do a book signing the line never got really long.. I guess the series is becoming more popular

Me too. I just came to expect them by the end of the book. It was still a great book, though. :)
I loved that even Finn thinks Leave a Legacy looks like a graveyard
Pearson certainly didn't seem afraid to state his opinion of different things in this book.

He gave a great presentation at my son's school, yesterday. He talked about walking the parks when they were closed, and interesting stuff that he found--like the trap door in the tiger enclosure, and the book at Soarin'. Disney seems to have really embraced the books--since they sell. When I asked my son what he thought of the presentation, he grabbed me by the arms and said "Mom, Wayne is REAL!"

On a side note, when we were at the parks a few weeks ago for spring break, we couldn't help but notice all the dolls from Italy on IASW were MISSING! My son and I had fun with "where are they, where did they go, are they under the boat? Don't let them up over the side!" Seriously, the other people on the boat with us must have thought we were nuts. :p But, we sure had fun!

i've read the first two. they were good! i'm an adult, so yeah, they were def more geared towards kids. but i think most disney fans can appreciate them.

what i wanted to add is this: i SWEAR i remember seeing this as a cartoon when i was younger. say 12- 18 years ago. i started remembering things when i was reading the first book for the first time.

am i crazy?

You might be thinking of Captain Planet, it and Kingdom Keepers are basically the same thing, but different setting.

Oh and I see that promo video is wanting to give park fans more reasons to hate Stitch.:brick::brick:

True.

The only thing that really bugged me about being inaccurate about the third book was...*Spoiler Alert*....he said that the Dragon in Fantasmic was supposed to be Chernabog. Isn't it actually Maleficent? I'm pretty sure....

SPOILER ALERT ANSWER
I think he mentioned that they were both shape shifters, and that Chernabog had "taken over" the dragon at Fantasmic.

I like the series. It definitely has some drawbacks. The first one had an established tone to it I enjoyed. The second developed the characters more. The third one seems to be going into teen romance territory, which is nice, but I feel at times there are WAY too many characters, even for a book aimed at pre-teens.

1. I still don't understand who Willa is and/or why she is there.

2. The ending of the second book felt anti-climactic

SPOILER ALERT
3. The third book was decent, but lacked a lot of what I liked the most- Maleficient! She doesn't show up till the climax.

Then again, I'm an older reader and the books are aimed at a younger audience.
