I decided not to do a trip report since this was such a short trip, so I'll just sum it up.

Wonderful, spur-of-the-moment vacation at The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge!

We decided to use some of our extra points and go for the weekend, and let me tell you, our decision was the right decision! It was so relaxing!! We didnt even go to a park. We got there on Friday at about 12:00 and our room was ready. We were in studio 1535, close to the atrium in the villas, and our room even had a backyard!

Lunch was at Kona Cafe (Poly.) , which was just great. We haven't eaten there in a while, so it was a nice treat. We hung out at Wilderness pools, and rented bikes, pontoons, etc, and we really enjoyed ourselves! Ate dinner that night at The Wave. We said hello to our dear friend who we've known for 16 years who works at Chef Mickeys, and she was so surprised!

Next day, (Saturday) was a nice day, we did the pool, Winter Summerland, and DTD. Lunch was at ESPN Club, and dinner at Raglun Road.

Today( Leaving Day): Breakfast at Whispering Canyon, then we went to a Member only Bay Lake Tower DVC presentation at Top of the World Lounge (which we left early since it was basically trying to convince us to add on points, which we've recently done.) Went to DTD for about an hour and a half, then drove back to West Palm Beach Florida.

We'll be back in June at AKV Jambo House for 6 nights!:sohappy:

I really want to stay at the VWL. We stayed at the WL this past summer for the first time and never want to stay anywhere else. I am guessing the villas would be even better. We are looking at possibly buying into DVC and this would be my first choice location.

Glad to hear you enjoyed VWL.

We're staying there twice this year - we spent 8 nights there in January and have another 8 nights there in October.

We enjoy the atmosphere and theme of the resort.

I really like the villas. The main lodge can be very nice (staying there on cash this August - I guess I need more points :) ) but it can be overwhelming.

The villas do seem like 'home'. I love the little lobby that is there, and the "porch" area.

The kids like the pool that is over in that area as well, with the bubbling springs in it.

And, it is the right distance from the main lodge (and with a covered walkway) to be removed, but still a short walk for anything you need from the main lobby.

My husband and I talk about this all the time, like just going down for a long weekend but we never do. So I love ti when I hear others do. I love the VWL, its by far my favorite...though we don't own there, we often think we should.
