Just a thought

Here's my thoughts for the whole Soarin issue. I think the theme of Soarin will really clash with the whole land thing, so how about this: Rehab the land to have the theme of Aviation? It can easily be done. Soarin could be added and since Eisner loves budget cuts so much, they can keep the California footage. If you've never seen the Soarin in DCA, you'd probably never tell the distance. The entire building would be rethemed inside and out to give an airport/ air plane hanger look. Kites could hang from the cieling, the boat ride could turn into a history of aviation dark ride, and the lion king movie... eeh, it can't be on the history of flight also. All of the resturaunts would be rethemed too.

What do you think?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No no no! No? No!!!

We cannot lose the essence of a pavilion for one attraction. That's ... no!!

Haha, I do agree that Soarin is a bit out of place. I say, make it Soarin over the Land (and NOT landmarks! and NOT California! Over the LAND!) - and KEEP the Food Rocks theater.

Oops. Too late. There is a gift shop there.

ANYWAY. The Land has the greenhouse. This cannot be removed. Sorry, I'm really defensive when it comes to the pavilions. That, or have Soarin's entrance outside and have it its own air pavilion. Oh wait, too late.

If its money that they are looking to save by retredding the DCA Soarin movie over at WDW, its highly unlikely the Powers That Be will go for the retooling of an entire pavillion, including the addition of a dark ride. Those things cost bucks...we are talking R&D and then implimentation.

Besides, it would just upset Grizz too much. I dont like having to deal with an angry ornery bear all the time

I thought upon hearing about the ride that a flight over California made no sense in Florida, but upon thinking harder, it's not that bad.

What would a sorin' over FL be like? You'd fly over a bunch of orange groves, a beach, we need a big land mark so they'll fly over the Sunshine Skyway, which anybody who's never been to Tampa doesn't even know that exists. Then they'd fly over the only other great Florida landmark, the very park that you are in. It wouldn't make for much fun.

So really, it's good Epcot is at least getting a new ride, so wether it fits the land theme or not it could be worse. I sure wouldn't want to ride Soarin' over FL.

I think Soarin' fits well. You are going to be looking at the beauty of the LAND. I think that it fits in fine with Living with the Land and the rest of the agricultural theme of the pavilion. I think it will be a great addition to the area.
