Just a meaningless observation

Watching the parade on TV. I really dislike the 2 new turrets on the sides of the castle. An unnecessary addition that actually distracts from the beauty of the castle.

That's all. Merry Christmas!

And see, I never found the lighting towers distracting. I think for me, I just get used to something and it works for me.

Have you seen them in person? Sometimes things look better in person. The turrets don't bother me. What bothers me about the. Ew hub design is the lack of benches for sitting and relaxing.

Most things like this look better in person than a random perspective you might get from a still photo. It's never fair to judge something you saw in the photo fully until you actually experience it in person.

As for the benches, from what i've been told, the reason they had to remove all the benches out of the hub area is 1) traffic flow- Too many bottlenecks and injuries in large crowd conditions. When a large crowd is moving through the hub such as after fireworks, traffic along the sides gets clogged up when it hits the benches and people also get injured when you can't see the benches in those large crowds and walk or get pushed into them. 2) Way too many guests simply are unable to follow basic safety rules and insist on using them as platforms to stand on, despite CM's asking them to get down so they can see over the crowds.

I saw them last year. Didn't like them. I just didn't feel they added anything. It's like painting a beautiful picture, completing it, then adding extra details for no reason.
As for Teen Titans Go, I love it. Never saw an episode of the original series. I can see why fans of that don't like this, but I find it hysterical.

Yeah that is what I have heard about the benches too, but I still miss them.

That's a shame. I loved sitting by the castle with a box of popcorn just soaking up the atmosphere.
If you're sitting around soaking up atmosphere, you're not meeting your revenue unit quota (unless you bought a large drink with your popcorn...).

You know what's funny, is it took me about a week (during our last trip) to realize something had changed about the castle. I didn't have a problem with them, but to each their own. I was however very disappointed I couldn't find a bench.

I used to do the exact same thing. Had a guy approach me in 2014 and asked me to film him proposing to his wife. Just an overall magical experience, due to my just sitting there enjoying the atmosphere. Really wish they'd bring the benches back.
