i think before disney builds any more parks in florida - each current park should recieve a water ride, an e ticket and a dark ride and another show - lol - beef up what we have - maybe build a villains land in the mk or the studios - and test it - i do think that a villains park would be awesome - and a great way to incorporate a coaster park to battle with universal! but - the 4 parks we have need work first. give epcot a new land and the matterhorn - build paradise pier to the studios with screamin' ---

Tyler... I'm going to give you my secret to coping with rumours like this... listen to the last 4 minutes of 'Hey Jude' by the Beatles while you read it.... it makes it seem like a joke when you have the chorus playing.... just my advice

This sounds like they are trying to integrate the Disney-Squaresoft game Kingdom Hearts.

I would love KINGDOM HEARTS something. That game rocks. Bring on Shadowland.:sohappy: :sohappy:

Wow, I had no idea WDW needed to battle Universal, much less have a coaster park... :dazzle: :zipit:

For real...It will be a LONG while before the next park opens at WDW. I dont know why everyone is wanting to rush it, AK (to the typical tourist) is still new. People can barely get through 4 parks, let alone 5.

As for the Splash Mountain AA's, they were working fine on Saturday. There changing alot around in there, AA wise. One is being spruced up, one just was last month, some are shut off, maybe 1 or 2, and being worked on at night

2) The next Disney park will be themed "Disney Villains" and will be a roller-coaster type park located directly in the vacant land across from the Caribbean Beach resort.

That "Hey Jude" trick really works... awesome.

Joey, Joey, Joey... I'm going to weigh in with a suggestion to help you out. If you listen to everything a frontline cast member says about upcoming attractions, expansions, etc... you know about as much as you did before you asked them. Nothing.

OK... even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, but these two aren't nuts. WELL, you'd have to be nuts to believe them, but that's a totally different issue.

1. Listen to Tyler... it's NOT happening. He has repeatedly written very well informed posts on this topic. It's not like the subject of extending it doesn't come up... it does, but it's not happening now or soon or maybe ever. The "black hole" isn't for the monorail.

2. Not happening and SPECIFICALLY not happening here. If you do some digging on the fl site (.gov) you might find the wetlands info. That land is not at ALL available under wetlands restrictions. WDW has done some amazing things in the past with conservation work and adjusting (landswaps) them, but this one is pretty ROCK SOLID.

You must read selectively. I am just telling you what they said. Some people would be glad to hear it. I also enhanced my total disbelief of it in the first place saying I thought it was "far-fetched". I am totally with everyone else in saying neither of these is happening, so I don't understand why you think I believe them?

I'm sure we ALL know that's not even close to true. Not even physically possible.

That's all?? I was expecting a *bangs head into desk repeatedly* at least!

I think Michael Graves (Swan and Dolphin architect) would sue if they tired running the monorail through his hotels. They were not in the preliminary designs of the final either. I really think aesthetically, the beams would take away from the tranquil look of the lagoon between the hotels.

LOL... my poor head needed a rest. Besides, the OP said that he knew what the bus driver was saying wasn't realistic.

So, a fellow castmember contacted Mr. Graves, and they had a discussion on how much money they would loose a night if the monorail was to run through the swan and dolphin...kinda runs up near oh about 35grand a night....not to mention the structural instability of the hotel after the construction...a train wouldn't fint in the hotel anyway

Check out this site for some photoshopped pics of what these hotels would look like with the monorail going through.

Frankly, I always thought that the two swans were somewhat of an eye sore, but they actually look pretty good when framing the monorail, in my humble opinion. The dolphin also looks much more exciting than just a triangle stuck out there. The Monorail would add a lot to the aesthetics of these hotels just as it does to the Contemporary.

As for them losing $35,000 per day, I don't get that since there are no rooms in the squares and they would obviously be able to raise their prices significantly. In fact, I think the real reason the monorail will not be built through the hotels is that the benefit would go totally to the Starwood Company instead of Disney.

If I'm not mistaken, there are rooms there. Also, it would be a major pain to operate, because of the proximity of the two stops. You would never be able to have a train in both stations at the same time. If a train was in one station, the next train would have to wait outside the empty first station.

I think the monorail running through these hotels looks cool. But I know it isn't happening. :(

Wow great pics, hehe. I would think the track, though, would run in that middle garden area in between the two hotels. Would actually be the perfect place for it.
