Gurgi
Why: HE'S FREAKIN' GOLLUM WITH FUR.

Just one split personality away from being nightmare fuel for your children.

I couldn't remember who Gurgi was, so I googled it. It looks like Gurgi has another meaning too according to the urban dictionary (a rather seedy one )... Apparently Gurgi is not just 'one split personality away from being nightmare fuel for your children', but also a bad influence. ;)

We love GUrgi! (munchies crunchies in here somewhere!) although he's dead at the end, which would weird me out on the m&g (should I warn him? lol)
Then again, my 7 year old daughter thinks Golum is the cutest thing ever, and would probably like a m&g with him, too. So, not everyone has the same choices.

I'd love to see Gurgi in the parks, actually. Not only that, but the name "Gurgi's Munchies and Chrunchies" re-established as the name of a CS eatery in Fantasyland.

I have a photo of Gurgi visiting some friends at WDW back in 1985.
He was a cool looking character...and i think folks today would like visiting with him even if most would probably have no clue as to who he is.

Black Cauldron has actually aged much better than some other "classic" films. Gurgi is one of those rare annoying but necessary characters. Like Gollum but unlike Jar Jar. I remember seeing it at Radio City Music Hall as part of the Disney Summer Magic Tour. Wow I feel old. My kids are right. Daddy has seen it all.

Yasha, Misha, and Vladimir from "Peter and the Wolf"
Why?: Sure they are good guys, but the combination of angry Russian scowls and blunderbuss long guns is sure to upset some.
Some guests will also assuredly think of them as being the hellish hybrid spawn of the Seven Dwarfs and the Hitchhiking Ghosts. And one of them is a ginger to boot!

Grandpappy Duck

Why?: Well, discounting the fact that he's a crazy, featherless coot.....he's also been dead since the 1870s.
Yep. He exists solely as Donald Duck's hallucination, emerging from a hanging portrait to take Donald on the hunting trip from hell/WWIII.

Here is the photo that i have been meaning to finally scan and share here..from my personal collection.
The only photo i have ever seen of the Gurgi walkaround.

This is from a newspaper clipping i saved ages ago, and it was taken at *The Black Cauldron * movie premier back in 1985. Gurgi appeared for it and posed with various families for publicity photos. Not sure if he ever appeared in a Park, but a CM friend claims he did at one point.

Thanks for sharing that picture! He was one of the characters that I had never seen a picture of before! And are Taran and Eilonwy above actual/official characters, or just fan costumes?
