Think you have what it takes to be a professional in the scare business? Then Universal Orlando might be looking for you.

Every Tuesday through Sept. 13, the theme park is holding casting calls for 1,000 performers to frighten visitors during Halloween Horror Nights 15. Wanted: creepy stilt-walkers, celebrity impersonators, haunted-house "scare-actors" and street characters.

Those hired for the popular monthlong event can potentially work through the end of the year, continuing through such holiday events as the Macy's parade at Universal Studios.

Halloween Horror Nights will run for 19 select nights from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31.

Tryouts will be held starting at 6 p.m. at the Universal Orlando -- Human Resources building, 1000 Universal Studios Plaza.

Also this year, the theme park has launched an audition Web site listing dates and times, available roles and other details about how to audition.

Job-seekers also can sign up to receive information about future auditions. The site is universalauditions.com/orlando.
