Can anyone tell me what the attendance is looking like lately? I hear and read about the low attendance. Spring break is happening and I leave for WDW in two weeks from tonight.

Does anyone know what the attendance is looking like for that time? It just seems that evidently they're not expecting a high attendance, especially after looking at the park hours.

I think that is a joke. We just got back 2 days ago for a week at Beach Club Villas. (trip report to follow as soon as I can recover and process it all!) We have been there 7 times before (most in March) and I did not see low crowds in the parks at all. Some days were better then others, some times they were not running fast pass when they should of been. MK is always busy and crazy.

The resorts did seem a bit more empty, but there was still a great deal of activity around the Boardwalk and Y&B area and SAB was always active, but not so crowded that you couldn't have a good time.

I LOVE WDW and am not a WDW basher at all, but I did see some signs of changes and less magic due to cut backs. I plan to report my comments on a on line survay they asked me to complete when there.

I don't know what Disney is complaining about, they seem to be doing just fine to me.

Personally I wouldn't want is any more full. I am looking forward to our next trip the start of Jan 2004 and hope it is less crowded.

I was at WDW 12/29-1/5 and all this stuff about attendance being down seemed like a joke to me.

However I just got back yesterday (3/2-3/8) and it is no joke. Attendance is down. I was at MK on 3/6 and MK and Epcot on 3/7 and everything was a walk-on. The wide sidewalks at WS could have been a footpath and you would not have bumped into anyone.

I hope things pick up or the park hours for my May trip could end up being "park minutes".

Bright spot was there were plenty of CM's and I never waited over 10 minutes for a bus.:D

Everyone go to WDW and spend, spend spend.:animwink: That's the key to more hours.

I was at the MK today and it was a lot more crowded than I expected. The listed wait times at 11:00 am were 65 min for space mountain, 40 for pooh, Splash was 40 min and same with Peter Pan. I was at Typhoon Lagoon also and that was more corwded than I expected the parking lot was almost full. I may be going to epcot shortly. I need to see if this thunderstorm is going to blow over, it does not look good right now.

Seven days will put you into the beginning of Spring Break so don't expect walk-ons.:(

Early entry days make that park crowded. I went to Studios on Wednesday and it was packed. Turns out Wed. is early entry for Studios.

That is a good time as even the Southern Schools should still be in session. Of course when I was there last week I saw thousands of school age children and most were from the U.S.

I'll be following you by 9 days and hope for a lot of walk-ons:D

Flower and Garden will be going on in May so it should add a lot of people but nothing like Spring Break etc.

Enjoy:)

Well I must of been in the wrong place at the wrong time, because for the most part I felt it was crowded. (we waited 35 min to get Pizza at the toy story place at the studios.) We were there Feb 28 to March 7, so we were there mostly the same days. I do think missing early entery days helps reduced the crowds, but not that much. Some times and places seemed better then others, the buses weren't too bad, but I think the resorts were way down. Gald you had a good trip.

We go on 4th April so it would be great if there were a few walk -ons but it would seem very unlikely.
The only problem with the parks being quiet is that there seems to ba a lack of atmosphere.
I hope they don't cut the park hours too far.

Only 25 days to go till trip no 5.

I was at WDW in the beginning of Feb and the crowds were low but not unusually low for that time of year. I'm sure, however, that Disney operates on a razor's edge as far as operating costs go so even little changes in attendance can cause big budget changes I'm sure

Thanks for asking. I hope to get it out soon, (I might be able to work on it while the wee one naps today). We took over 200 digital pictures and 100 flim ones, so I won't bore anyone with all of them, but I see some of the cute ones come to WDW magic very soon. All in all it was a good trip (with one or two minor set backs) and we LOVED BCV.

I was at MGM this past weekend, and lines were minimal (like 20 min for RnRC!!!) The park was pretty dead... I'd say an average of probably 10-15 min wait... This is the start of Spring Break, and the parks were really dead as far as 'peak' season goes. I'll be back there this weekend and can fill you in on whether this has changed or not, if you'd like!

I was at the Studios today. Not very crowded at all, but every seat was filled in all the shows we saw (we caught them all except Millionaire). So, not bad. Also, I want to point out that spring break is NOT the same all over the country. I expect attendance to pick up drastically in the next few weeks. I'll be sure to keep y'all posted.

Oh, also. I was at MK Thursday adn Friday, and it was also moderately crowded, but certainly managable, and nowhere near summer horror attendance.
