EPCOT It’s time to bring the fountain back

The center of the park desperately needs some kind of kinetic energy, especially during the day when the lighting package (well, the parts that still work) isn’t running. I know EPCOT isn’t going to get much attention until the big projects are done at the other three parks, but it’s time to bring the fountain back.

Fountains don't bring in revenue. People don't buy tickets to ride fountains. To build in a fountain, there would have to be an expenditure of money which Disney isn't going to be wanting to do with all the costly projects they are in the middle of.

I think it looks great. I love all the flowers and the Adirondack chairs. I miss the fountain being there but I still think they did a nice job on this redo.

Thats your opinon, some may share it, but I do not. They way the paths were laid out, it was more of a hindrance than any kinetic ambiance it might impart to some. To those from arid or concrete surrounded domains it may impart more interest than those where open water is just part of everyday life.

Josh is not a leader, Josh will take no risks, he just got the job, but how great if he ordered that a smaller version of the fountain of nations be built in EPCOT to correct the mistake of the ugly planter and broken lighting.

I know, I know, it will never happen.

A 1/32 scale model of the original would be super cute! Even the music could play quietly on tiny speakers. Plus it would fit....

Water features are generally a positive for all people.

Not just my opinion by the way - look up research in “blue space” for stats.

Lego has Disney items featured now.... so maybe Josh can arrange for a Lego fountain to get built with lights and running water!!!

I agree that I would really like to see the fountain return. It was one of my favorite features of Epcot. I was really impressed when I read that it contained water from all of the major bodies of water across the world. Removing the fountain, especially for what replaced it, has been one of Disney's bigger errors.
