Wheww...I wasn't sure if I would be doing an update or not today. This morning, I went in for my Disney interview. I'll let you know how it went at the end of the update. Alright, but lets get the updates out of the way first...
Oh Yes...and I can confirm that a large spot of land has been cleared at Typhoon Lagoon. The whole area is visible from the bus loop.
I went over to MK first...
--I finally got a map with 20K Edited out. I heard that it was off the map awhile back, but up until now, every map I have got had 20K on it. Now, it has trees in the spot 20K once was. It's interesting to note, that while Ariel's Grotto is still on the map, the "Meet Ariel" rock formation is gone.
--The dome on the Tomorrowland sign has still not returned. I think it has been about a month and half, and I'm beginning to wonder if it will ever come back.
--Finally, the X-S Tech signs are starting to come down. 2 small signs are still up, but the biggest is gone.
--And, call me crazy, but was the holding area for Alien Encounter (the outside part before the first preshow) always painted purple? When I went by on the TTA, I noticed the whole wall, stretching to Merchant of Venus was painted purple. I don't remember it being that way, but who knows?
--The small seating/viewing area for the Tomorrowland Speedway has reopened.
--3 more construction walls were put up in Tomorrowland. They are placed at various parts on the sidewalk, starting at Space Mountain, and ending at the DVC booth.
--The giant "TOMORROWLAND INDY SPEEDWAY" sign that was on top of the queue building to the ride has been removed. Parts of the roof were gone aswell.
--I went by the castle painting, and on one side, the scaffolding was scattered all over the ground. On the other side, it was still up. It didn't look like any painting has been done yet.
--Some kind of rehab work is being done to the side of the Emporium.
After that, it was over to Epcot...
--Innoventions (East?) was changed again. Floorspace by the door that leads to TT and MS has been converted to include display cases for different devices used all over WDW. Also added was 2 ESPN kiosks. I went over there to see what they were. Turns out, if you fill out your information, you can get a chance to be featured in one of there advertisements. I filled out my info, and the machine took my picture. It said I would be notified via email if I was going to be used in one of their ads.
--I went to a cart to get a bottle of water. While I was there, I noticed a small sign that said "Value Snack Pack - $1.50 ... Includes one small popcorn scoop and choice of small beverage". The popcorn boxes being used for this are small, red and white striped "Hot&Fresh" popcorn boxes, which remind me alot of a fair or amusement park. You get your choice of 3 mini beverages (in very tiny cans) - Sprite, Minute Maid, Vanilla Coke. You also have a choice of a juicebox.
--The entire front of the Journey Into Imagination has a construction wall around it. Big window cleaner vehicles were parked out front.
--Both Morocco and France buildings were undergoing rehab.
And I have a little MGM News...
--Somehow, Stitch's Great Escape Merchandise has made it's way over to MGM. It can be found in "The Studio Store" near the animation tour.
--Rehab walls have come off 2 buildings on NY Street. The entrance to the HISTK playground (movie theater facade) is complete with a new paint job, and looks great.
--I was snooping around NY Street, and in one of the buildings, there is a bulletin board with peoples names that live in that "apartment". There are a few hidden words in there. :wink:
Alright, so like I said, I wasnt sure I would be able to go to the parks today. I had my Disney interview this morning. I walked into casting at 9:55am, with my appointment being at 10am. I got my forms, and went and sat next to Tifani, who also had an interview today, but at 9am. I had to watch a video, and they called that the video would be airing soon. So, I went into the "theater" and watched it. When I came back out, Tifani was gone. So I turned in my form and waited...and waited...and waited. An hour and 15 minutes later, my name was called. Another girl my age was called in with me, as we would be interviewed together. The interview went great for both of us. I told the interviewer that I would be interested in outdoor food and beverage, with custodial being my last resort. The other girl with me also wanted food and beverage. She looked on her computer, and found nothing for minors. She said that we were both "Disney-like" and if a position had been available, we could fill it. However, there was nothing available for me. She said I am on the waiting list, and I could get a call back as early as tomorrow. I doubt I will be called back, but I am going to keep thinking positive. Atleast I am on the list...Tifani on the other hand...Since she turns 16 August 28th, and she is 15 currently, she was basically told "no" as soon as she sat down. I'll keep you posted as soon as I get called back...
Feeling a little bit bummed, that is when I took a bus to Wilderness Lodge to go to MK. I was
S-T-A-R-V-I-N-G since I was in the casting building for 2 1/2 hours. I went to The Roaring Fork to get some chicken strips. So I was standing there, waiting in line, and I hear "Patrick?" and I turn around, and what do ya know, there goes Katie (Lil Mermaid from the boards) and her sister. It was really nice meeting you Katie, you cheered me up for the rest of the day...
Anyway, that was my day, and that is your update. I'll post pictures soon...

I was really rootin' for ya, but, like you said, still stay positive. I have a feeling you will get it soon though. And, you'll probably have a better chance at getting your job whenever school starts and alot of the people who are doing just "summer jobs" leave. But anyways...
