ISTCrew20, in one day, you went to AK, MK, Epcot, MGM, Contemp, and Pop Century? That's gotta be some kind of record! No wonder you were tired! Do you use WDW trans or do you drive your own car?

Thanks for the report.
To be fair, I didn't go to the Contemp. I only saw it from the MK busloop. And yea, I used WDW transportation.

If you want a record, look up the "MouseHunt 2004" thread. Now that was one for the record books. I was tired for 3 days after that.

Hidden Nextel towers are going in the cupola (tower) at American Adventure, as trees in AL and GF, and other various locations around property. Port Orleans was used as a 'test' facility' for the project.

The helicoptors that you see in the area are for security purposes, from what I've heard. I still believe that some of this (in the past) was for Soarin, though.

It's for the helicopter pad (fly-overs for a minimal fee). They extended some of the attractions at Sammy Duvall's and this was one of the extensions.

With the new terror information that came out today regarding the use of tourist helicopters to attack NYC, I am not too sure I am comfortable with this idea of tourist flyovers of helicopters at Disney.

Ok, everybody...my bad.
I was making a little joke. Disney would never consider doing this for the public... too many liabilities. And Sammy Duvall is water-sports only.

 :(

(I thought it was clear with the smiliey and the sarcastic tone...again, I apologize)

Were you in MK during the big storm? I swear, it rained for 4 hours straight. I was about to get on BTMR at 5:00 when the train came up to the station and everyone was SOAKED. They sent us out in the rain though. Man, that was by far the best ride I've had on it.

I was ANGRY to see the X-S Tech signs down. But, I did happen to notice the small "TOMORROWLAND CONVENTION CENTER WELCOMES X-S TECH" sign still up.....maybe they'll keep it? I hope they do.

Nope, I wasn't at MK. I was there when the storm started moving in, and it was drizzling all day. I hate days like that. It never rains, but storms clouds are in the sky all day, which makes it humid. It wasn't to bad, and the sky kept some of the people away.

About the welcome signs. I dunno, it would of been nice if they left them up, but I doubt they will stay. I can't wait 'til Stitch opens so I can see all the AE references.

And jez, how many cell phone towers do they need? One is in the Epcot parking lot. Another is visible from inside AK, but is in a backstage area. How many is needed to have ok service? 2 in the same park (Epcot) is kinda gettin' crazy.

Thanks for the update.

All of Florida(or almost all of it) has been getting hit by rain really badly the past two weeks. Sometimes, it can make things such a hassle. Oy vey.

I think the helicopters are for security. We noticed them in June, too. WDW is a "no fly zone," so they have to be Disney helicopters.

Buddy, I have to get my priorities in order. Many people I know still don't have power, and I will be helping friends clean up houses and neighborhoods. It may be awhile before I make it to the parks again.

I don't think he realised :S Anyway, good luck helping with the clean up, I hope it goes as smoothly as it can after an event such as this.
