Hey everyone. I was able to hit all 4 parks, mostly because it was grey and rainy all day, and crowds weren't too bad. Anyway, lets get started...
My very first stop was Animal Kingdom-
--Previously, when you were coming into the park from the bus loop, there was a large sign that just said "Disney's Animal Kingdom". The only purpose of this sign was that, on the other side, it had the bus destinations and numbers. The sign is was changed on the plain side. It now says
"Welcome
Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Have a wild time"
--Everest is going great. Almost the entire right side of the metal mountain is covered in wire mesh. They also added a pole with an orange life preserver on it by the river. I can't imagine to many construction workers falling in the water, but if they do, safety is close by. The "Something is afoot" sign that was on the construction wall has been removed. Last week, it was ripped so that only the letters "S AFOO" remained.
--A green construction wall was set up by the entrance to Tarzan Rocks.
Next up was Epcot where I only found one thing-
--A construction wall was set up by the breezeway nearest to Test Track and Mission Space.
Now that we got that out of the way, we can move onto the big MK news-
--The Tomorrowland Stage is GONE. A new, smaller stage did NOT even replace it. The construction wall is down, and a big flower planter is where the stage used to be. Behind the planter is a narrow walkway that is slightly elevated. I imagine that is where the Tomorrowland band will now perform.
--Stitch signs are UP! Well, part of them. They are the exact same shape as the old XS Tech signs, but these have a dark blue background. I'm not going to try to explain in anymore, cuz I'm only going to further confuse you. I'll post the picture first thing.
--The Stitch queue has had all the cement tore up. Work has finally started on the outside, and it looks like Fastpass is going to be put in soon (reason for tearing up the cement).
--The Adventureland Tiki squirting men by the entrance to Jungle Cruise were not squirting water or mist today.
And for MGM -
--Nothing except another new popcorn cart was added where the old popcorn/pretzel stand (by the animation tour) used to be. It cannot be moved, and it looks much better than the stand.
And now for some resort news-
--I don't know what they have been doing, but a black metal structure was added to the very top of the Contemporary (above the California Grill). The black metal thing has been up there for almost a month and it's about half the size of the California Grill, and is shaped like a square. I was wondering what it was and if it had always been there. Today when I looked over, I saw that they are starting to add walls (the same color as the Contemporary), to blend it in. I have no idea what it is though.
--The Pop Century arcade was changed around a bit. A whole new array of prizes (...junk) are now available for you to cash your tickets in for.
--At Pop Century, a green fence was added around the "Big Wheel" bike. It was to stop people from climbing on it because before, it was very easy to get up there.
-2 new benches were also added by the children's water play area.
Ok, I'm not. Sorry for the babbling and sorry for any confusion, but I am beyond tired. I'll post some pictures soon.
