Hey you guys. I have another update (coming from a very tired Patrick). So today, I went to all 4 parks, then met up with some folks and went to the movies. I'll also have a small section about the hurricane Charley damage at WDW...

So how about we start at MK?

--A bunch of construction was going on in the bus loop on the right side. It wasn't sure if it was for tree removal (due to the storm) but it looks like a security checkpoint will be added, and the road repaved.

--The 2 Stitch's Great Escape signs...WERE TAKEN DOWN! Now, only one is up over the preshow entrance and a completely different, small circular sign was put up saying "Galactic Federation Prison" or something like that

--I never thought I would say this, but the TOMORROWLAND DOME IS BACK!

--The Tomorrowland Indy Speedway sign is still down. It looks like new steel was put in place for a new sign to go up.

--The 20K Construction wall was pushed out, so that a few walkways are blocked off now. You can no longer access the seating area across from "Ms. Potts Cupboard", and you can't walk by the Teacups to go to Toontown anymore.

--Some GREAT News: EVERYTHING was working on Splash Mountain. I was really surprised when I saw the hopping Brer Rabbit again.

Nothing really was new at Epcot or Animal Kingdom (Although more Everest rockwork was put up)

At MGM -

--2 new feeding machines with duck food were place near the lake by the bus loop.

--I don't know what the heck is was, but a GIANT black globe made of steel was put right beside the San Francisco backdrop, and was blocked off by a construction wall. I'll post a picture of it, because I was really clueless as to what it was.

--You can now see the Stunt Show queue house. The lights were on in there today.
-Speaking of the Stunt Show, you can see two of the cars that will be used on the backlot tour.

And now news from elsewhere around the "world" -

--The "Merry Christmas" photo op by the "25 Days of Christmas" store at DTD has been replaced. It was gone for about a month.

--Work is still going on at the top of the Contemporary. In my last update, we were trying to figure out what it was, but whatever the heck it is, it looks really close to being complete.

--Due to the winds from the storm, part of the Pleasure Island sign is gone.
--Also gone is the Test Track Awning. Not the whole metal structure, but just the tarp that was on the top.
--The worst storm damage I saw was at MGM and Wilderness Lodge. Disney really did a good job at cleaning it all up though.

I am beyond tired, and when I read this over tomorrow and realize how much I babbled, I'll fix it up. I'll post some pictures soon.

Awesome update as always!

I bet I know what that black globe is. It's probably a top secret monkey cage chamber thing disguised as a birthday cake that is disguised as a globe! Why is there a monkey cage chamber thing in MGM you may ask? I don't know. But I will tell you more when I find out more. . .

Eisner's up to something . . .

Thanks ,Patrick. If you think of it can you post just what type of damage was at the WL.
No structural damage, just lots of trees down. There were also lots down by the Contemp/MK Train tracks aswell.

I have pics of Everest/ TT awning/ and the globe which I'll put up later.

I just got back from 6 days at Disney and noticed many of the stuff you posted above. The guy who controlled the lights for the busses at MK had both the easiest yet most boring job, oh well. I took the boat to the Wilderness Lodge and since I had never been there in the back (only lobby), I couldn't really tell what was supposed to be/not supposed to be here and there. Everest looks amazing, it was my first time seeing it since last summer. Last night when it was raining and I went to go under the awning at Test Track, I quickly wondered why I was still getting wet, lol, then I looked up and saw the tarp was missing.

That globe shaped metal structure really confused me too because it's kind of off to the corner by itself.

Well good update..

After all this time, I'm almost disappointed that the tomorrowland domeis up without any changes. It took that long just to clean it?

Anyway, great report Patrick--why aren't you back at school? If I have to be, I think everyone else should be, too!

Nice update..

Kind of weird about what you say about Splash. I was there tuesday and the queue was insanely long..due to the fact there was only 1 line open for Fast Pass/Normal. And the animatronics were not working properly.

I only got to ride Splash yesterday (20th) and everything was working fine, the mountain looked GREAT with the new paint and plants, etc...

I didn't see the dome at Tommorowland yesterday, what time was it added?

On the Tommorowland Transit Authority, once we entered Space Mountain it sure did seem darker then usual. Even when riding Space with my eyes adjusted it seemed a tad bit darker, I guess the brain plays games when you haven't seen/ridden something in a year.

FYI,

The pre show at the Enchanged Tiki Room was undergoing a rehab. The audio still played, but there was a tarp/curtain hanging down in place of the birds.
