Hey you guys. I have another update (coming from a very tired Patrick). So today, I went to all 4 parks, then met up with some folks and went to the movies. I'll also have a small section about the hurricane Charley damage at WDW...
So how about we start at MK?
--A bunch of construction was going on in the bus loop on the right side. It wasn't sure if it was for tree removal (due to the storm) but it looks like a security checkpoint will be added, and the road repaved.
--The 2 Stitch's Great Escape signs...WERE TAKEN DOWN! Now, only one is up over the preshow entrance and a completely different, small circular sign was put up saying "Galactic Federation Prison" or something like that
--I never thought I would say this, but the TOMORROWLAND DOME IS BACK!
--The Tomorrowland Indy Speedway sign is still down. It looks like new steel was put in place for a new sign to go up.
--The 20K Construction wall was pushed out, so that a few walkways are blocked off now. You can no longer access the seating area across from "Ms. Potts Cupboard", and you can't walk by the Teacups to go to Toontown anymore.
--Some GREAT News: EVERYTHING was working on Splash Mountain. I was really surprised when I saw the hopping Brer Rabbit again.
Nothing really was new at Epcot or Animal Kingdom (Although more Everest rockwork was put up)
At MGM -
--2 new feeding machines with duck food were place near the lake by the bus loop.
--I don't know what the heck is was, but a GIANT black globe made of steel was put right beside the San Francisco backdrop, and was blocked off by a construction wall. I'll post a picture of it, because I was really clueless as to what it was.
--You can now see the Stunt Show queue house. The lights were on in there today.
-Speaking of the Stunt Show, you can see two of the cars that will be used on the backlot tour.
And now news from elsewhere around the "world" -
--The "Merry Christmas" photo op by the "25 Days of Christmas" store at DTD has been replaced. It was gone for about a month.
--Work is still going on at the top of the Contemporary. In my last update, we were trying to figure out what it was, but whatever the heck it is, it looks really close to being complete.
--Due to the winds from the storm, part of the Pleasure Island sign is gone.
--Also gone is the Test Track Awning. Not the whole metal structure, but just the tarp that was on the top.
--The worst storm damage I saw was at MGM and Wilderness Lodge. Disney really did a good job at cleaning it all up though.
I am beyond tired, and when I read this over tomorrow and realize how much I babbled, I'll fix it up. I'll post some pictures soon.
