If you have the 20 minute wait, it becomes pretty much a wash, as it's really only about 15 minutes from AKL to EPCOT.

Which one is a wash?

From AKL : 15 minutes on bus + up to 20 mins wait = 15-35 mins (plus security at Epcot)

From Poly, walking to TTC: 5 mins walk, up to 10 mins wait + 10 mins on Monorail = 15-25 mins (plus security at TTC)
From Poly, taking monorail to TTC: up to 10 mins wait for monorail, 10 mins monorail, up to 10 mins wait again + 10 mins monorail = 20-40 mins (plus security at Poly)

Monorail is 15 minutes to EPCOT from TTC. The same time as the bus from AKL to EPCOT. If you walk to the TTC from Poly, you go through the normal security there, which can take a bit, depending on time of day. That's why I said it's a wash, because if you don't wait for a bus at AKL, AKL is quicker, but if you have to wait the full 20 minutes, then Poly is quicker.
