Is there anything Disney could do that would make you not go?

Is this "I'm never going back", or "I'm going somewhere else this year"? There are rides that if under refurb would cause me to consider skipping a trip (though it would probably have to be a combination of rides such as Space Mountain and BTMR at the same time. Pirates could probably do it on it's own).

As much as I love Epcot and DHS, they could majorly screw up either park, a good portion of their rides, or even shut them down and I'd still go to WDW. I could not care less about DAK. Screw up, or close, MK, and I'd be in the never coming back camp.

I'm afraid Disney will be out of reach for quite a few more U.S. residents after January and even more over the next four to six years.
It's getting more and more difficult to pull off the expected Disney Family Vacation. This trip will be the most expensive, however, we are not going for an extended time as we have in the past. No dining plan, no dinner shows, no extra ticket events this time...just the overall cost has gone way up. And airfare...rates are triple what we've paid in the past. We don't go with a strict "budget" in mind when were there as we're there to relax and get away from stress, not add to it, but we are reasonble spenders and don't buy just to buy. We have been very fortunate and I realize some never get to experience the magic our family has come to know and expect from Disney however, as I've explained to the kids...I refuse to compromise their futures (college funds) for the fun of today. At some point, we may be forced to stay off-property if trends continue. That would be a real downer for us.

I know  When I bring up Walt in conversation people either don't know who he is or are adamant that he was a Nazi :( Despite me (the Disney expert) trying to convince them otherwise.
Yeah people just see a nazi in his cartoon then assume his anti Semitic and a Nazi

you may find that you enjoy your trips more if you go offsite.

You can stay in nicer hotels.

You could get a condo or a house.

It is nice to have extra room or excellent service. Really.

I don't think it will be the great let-down you're expecting. :)

January, something special with January?

Prices, prices, prices. It's the one think that would make me stop going. To insulate me from this I've:
- Moved south so that I no longer have to pay for flights
- Purchased a DVC resale to lock in resort prices
- Bought years of tickets because I new I could count on WDW to raise prices much faster than inflation!

I don't know. I have been getting more and more irritated with the prices. We go off season..januarry, february, etc. The prices on Disney hotels is absurd. I don't mind paying for a decent hotel, but when value hotels are $160, I think they are getting insane.
I am getting frustrated with them in general. EPCOT has always been my favorite, and the lack of love they are showing that park is killing me.
I am sure there is a tipping point where I might say I have had enough...hasn't happened yet, though, so we will see!
