Is there a hotel drop-off order for Magical Express?

I have been on DME without young kids many times and never paid attention to the drop-off order or what time I arrived at my resort.

In November I will be heading to WDW with a 1 year old and 3.5 year old and now a long time on the bus won't be quite as relaxing as it was on those other trips. Trying to decide if we should use DME or a cab and if there is a set drop-off order it may influence my decision.

I don't believe there is a certain drop-off order due to each bus load of guests is going different ways (ie, you're not going to go to the WL if no one is going there). We've used Florida Tours to pick us up at MCO and we'll continue using them as we're more than happy with their service every time (and we love the option of a grocery stop!).

Depends on which resort you’re staying at. Yacht and beach almost always get dropped after Caribbean Beach

Different buses go to different resorts, so there is an order, i.e., a DME bus for the all starts won't go to the contemporary. I'm sure they have a set order of progression, but I have no idea what it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Usually for the MK resorts, it's the Poly, the GF, WL & then the CR - and it doesn't matter how many people for each resort. It's been like that for years.
It's always frustrating for me that most people get to start their vacation at least a 1/2 hour before we do since we get dropped off at the CR.

And then it's the same order in reverse for the return trip - so we lose out on a half hour on that end, too.

When we stayed at the Poly in Oct 2016, we arrived at the airport at 10pm and didn't leave until almost 11:30. Then the DME dropped off WL, CR, Poly then GF. Maybe it was because it was so late at night, but our order was definitely different than others had listed. I am sure there is some magic rule that they use to determine the order. All I know is if I ever arrive late at night again, I would consider a taxi/uber/etc.

Every time we used DME they went around in order and we were the last ones dropped off at POFQ.

I think if it matters to you that you may have to wait through a couple of stops before you reach your destination, just take a cab. That eliminates your concern and starts the trip with less stress. Anything that makes the trip more magical, less stressful, is a plus.

We're BLT people, too, but we always like to hop off at the CR and just start our day. I guess we're used to it since that's what we always did before BLT got everything. We just love walking off the bus and taking a deep breath inside the lobby of the CR. It's an amazing "Welcome Home" for us!

In order to start you vaca early you will need to stay at The Poly!

I know. I know.
It's just hard. Still. After all these years.
My first memories of WDW were of the express monorail going through the CR back in the early 70s when my parents couldn't afford to stay on property.
To be "a part" of it now - is - as they say in commercials - "priceless".
I'm not over it yet.
Maybe one day we'll play around with different resorts.
For now, the 7 year old in me still gets crazy excited to be at the CR, and my loving hubby & kids are kind enough to indulge me.
So thank you, but no thank you. For now. Maybe. We'll see. Possibly.

I totally get it. The CR has always been special to me because of childhood memories. My parents, brother and I stayed there for our first visit to WDW in the early 80's. So many great memories of the monorail going through the building, the huge (at least it seemed that way at the time) arcade, and even the smell of the Buffeteria (sure isn't because of the food). That said, I love the Poly too and highly recommend trying it sometime.

This is my first WDW trip with my kids who will be 1 and 3.5. Originally we were thinking CR in order to be able to walk back and forth to MK. We ended up choosing BLT, however, because we are able to get a 1 bedroom, and we think the extra space will be nice during my 1 year old's nap time (will be nearly impossible to get my 3.5 y/o to nap at WDW). And we will still get the benefits of CR with a short walk.

The ability to walk to & from the resort can't be beat.
You'll definitely have enough room with a 1 bedroom.
