We went in 2010, and we were so looking forward to it,after reading reviews etc.It was such a let down.Adr was booked 180 days out.We were seated at a table right at the door. The server was AWOL for most of our meal. The cheese/Moosehead soup was the only good thing about the evening. The signature fillets were very average. Our next ADR at Jiko blew this place away.Have we been back since.:( Once bitten, twice shy.

I know alot of people say Le Cellier doesn't live up to the hype, but we love it, and when we're able to make an ADR here for dinner, we jump on it. We have had dinner here, I'd say 10 times over the years, and never had a bad meal, bad service or bad experience of any kind. Our last trip, DH tried the Lobster mac and cheese and LOVED it. Le Cellier is definately on our must do ADR list for our 2013 trip.

As you can see from the responses, people either think it's completely worth the hype or completely over-hyped. I'm personally in the second camp - after hearing how amazing it was I came away somewhat let down. And in my mind it is definitely NOT a signature restaurant. I'd suggest Jiko or Citricos (early ride from BLT on the monorail to the Grand Floridian) instead.

It all depends on what you consider your standard steak... and I don't see that to be coy but people who frequent higher end steakhouses will be critical of the meat at Le Cellier. But if you're flexible it's still a nice meal... plus you don't have to leave the gate.

This is the problem in a nutshell. Le Cellier does not serve what would be considered a premium steak that is comparable to the Ruth Chris's and Shula's of the world. If you go there and expect Shula's you will be disappointed. If you go there expecting Outback it will be the best steak you have ever had.

I also think if your normal night out is the Outback at home you'll enjoy the meal. I enjoyed it because I was on a Disneymoon, I didn't have to leave EPCOT to eat, and the mood and atmosphere. But in terms of the actual meal, I've had much, much better.

We ate there in 2011. We used 2 credits. The food was fine, but the service was the WORST we have had at Disney. I almost had to literally run the waiter down to fill our drinks and check on us. Would I waste 2 credits again, heck no.

Ate at LC for the first time this past Novemember and it absolutely lived up to it's expectations. The wife was even giving me a hard time about eating there since some previous Disney dining experiences weren't that good. She quickly apologized 5 minutes into our main meal. I'm surprising her for Valentines Day since I was able to get a reservation for that weekend in February.

When Le Cellier was 1 credit it was the best bang for your buck on the DDP. The reality is the place has always been on par with or slightly better than your average Long Horn or Outback steak house which are not bad, but do not hold a candle to places like Shula's, The Yachtsman or Charley's. Now that Le Cellier is 2 credits, it is just way overpriced for what it is. If you want a great steak throw down for Shula's or Yachtsman. If you are OK with your average chain restaurant steak, there are a number of places in WDW where you can get just that without all of the hoop jumping required to get into Le Cellier.
Excellent response! Thank you!

Me, I would put LC ahead of Outback and just behind Longhorn. Outback and its salt served with steak flavor is not hard to beat, and as far as meat quality LC and Longhorn are about the same, but the fact Longhorn has a better atmosphere (more space) and I can walk in and get a steak without making a reservation 180 days in advance puts it ahead of LC.

LC is squarely in the Longhorn, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Bonefish Grill price point and quality. It comes nowhere near say a Ruth's Chris, Legal Seafood, or Morton's to name some other chains that are above its' target.

We are going the World this summer so I am starting to get a game plan on ADRs. My DH and I want to go out one night just the two of us. He loves steaks and wanted to try Le Cellier. Is it that bad?? Should we go with Cali Grill or Narcoosee in stead? We are staying at BLT and would like to spend part of the night in EPCOT. What do you think?

We enjoyed the steaks as well as all the other food at Le Cellier better than Cali Grill. It did not disappoint.

I haven't been to Le Cellier since 2004. The couple times we went, it was very good. Recent reports are very mixed, and while it wouldn't deter me from heading back for lunch again, there are other World Showcase restaurants I really want to try.

I've been to Yachtsman as well. Very good and very attentive service. Would go back for a special occasion, but not an "everyday" meal.

I can tell you where I didn't like a steak: Big River Brewing at the Boardwalk

Hoping to hit up Shula's some time. Reviews are always positive for this place.

I would not order steak from Big River Brewing, what is great there is their Kobe burger. Slurp.

Shula's is excellent by us and in the World, I love it, worth the left lung you fork over when the bill comes.

I may be in the minority, but we went to Le Cellier for lunch this December and it was awesome. My steak (while not looking as nice as a fillet from a higher scale steakhouse) was awesome as was my wife's. We have absolutely no complaints about Le Cellier. That was our second time eating there and will certainly go back.

That said, I do have to agree on some of the comments regarding dining credits. That won't likely keep us from going back, though.

I can only attest to the Filet Mignon being the best I have ever encountered....the wonderful breads and salad rounded it out perfectly. Have been there 3 times in past 5 yrs and never disappointed...except one time we reserved for 8 so we could eat with our best friends and they refused to slide two tables together although there were some likewise across the room.....so my best gf was behind me and we chatted in between bites...;). The food was still awesome!!!
