It's the only ride with Dino's now since UoE closed...
Yeah, it definitely fills a niche that no other ride does at WDW.

If AK does get an Indy ride.. will it stay at Hollywood Studios?
Ah but, Lion King played also in MK, Epcot and AK up until one of them closed...The Frozen sign-a-long still shows at Studios even though the Frozen ride is at Epcot, the Little Mermaid still shows at Studios even though the Little Mermaid ride is at Magic Kingdom... seems having an Indy ride at Animal Kingdom with an Indy show at Studios would only be approproate...

The issue is that Dinoland, U.S.A. is currently a subpar land (thanks to Dinorama), and the concept of a dinosaur-themed land that takes place in the present day is quite limiting.
They can still leave DINOSAUR and just replace Dinorama. DL could just be reduced to dinosaur.
Or we could use that land to ressurect the Excavator coaster concept (which WDW1974 hinted at...). But alas, that wouldn't fit with Disney's "WE NEED IPS EVERYWHERE" initiative.
Nope. All still under consideration.@marni1971, have you heard anything new regarding what’s happening to Dinorama?, and have there been any new proposals for the Indy IP in WDW? Thanks for keeping us updated as much as you can
Ignore the prattle. If Indy ends up at DAK, the IP will leave DHS. And I believe the whole area from Echo to Star Tours and over to Indy will be razed including the entire Sounds Dangerous building.Woah didn't mean to start a thread derail. Just heard in the past the Indy site in Hollywood Studios was an expansion pad for new adventures... so was wondering if Indy comes to AK then maybe there's another land coming to HS. Back on topic..
Indy in AK
Thanks, so we shouldn’t expect Dinorama replacement by WDW50 then? (Please tell me that the plan is to keep the Dinosaur Theme)Nope. All still under consideration.
I understand an "Indy area" - if it happens - would be towards mid next decade as it stands.
