Is Disney Spings worth a visit?

just visit your local mall, shopping center. may not be "themed" as well, but hey, its the same stores with cheaper pricing. you also need not pack your purchases to go home.

Shopping...meh not my thing. I do like Lego store to browse. The food choices at Disney Springs are a big upgrade. I'm curious to see if they can all last, but if you are a foodie or just like eating at good restaraunts there's a whole lot to choose from now.
and coke etc

It's almost all shopping and dining.

The "entertainment" is bowling at Splitsville, movies at AMC, concerts at House of Blues, some little tikes train rides and carousel, Cirque de Sole, Boathouse boat rides, DisneyQuest (will most likely be going away very soon), hot air ballon ride, and some live outdoor music during peak hours. There are no rides or anything like a theme park.

If you have time to do the four theme parks and a water park (let's say a 7-10+ day vacation) then fit Disney Springs in for a half-day (afternoon or evening) and just at least take a look. It may or may not be your thing, but it does have a fantastic atmosphere and some unique offerings you may want to try.

If you are on a budget, my honest opinion is to avoid Disney Springs. It's there to drain your tourist dollars on merchandise/food, plain and simple. Go to the theme parks instead, you'll get more bang for your buck.

If you like DISNEY QUEST, go if it is still open. it is scheduled to close this year.
I watched a couple of reviews, the first suggested that they are really high priced.
The second suggested to be careful which restaurant you go to because the one they reviewed didn't
stand up, in fact, they said they'd never go back.

It completely depends...

Because it is worth it to simply walk around and see the new shops and forms of entertainment, but everything is so expensive in the shops that I had a hard time seeing why you would want to pay that kind of money for non-Disney items.

We enjoy the World of Disney and walking around the Marketplace, but Disney Springs is simply a glorified and overly-expensive mall. If you have a day to kill because it is your rest day or you simply don't have a park ticket, then sure, go. But really you are not missing anything if you don't go. I suppose it is worth it if you're super-rich and bored, but then again, you would probably be at Nordstroms if that was the case.

Does any one know where abouts Trader Sams will be and approximately how much longer until opening?

I love DL's. The Poly Sams is better than nothing but seems too uncomfortable and a bit snotty (cast) for such a 1/2 version.

I'm a huge fan of tiki pop culture but this one just seems like a pick pocket. I hope TDO puts more spirit into the next version.

Trader Sam's is not coming to Disney Springs.

Has anyone shopped at Zara yet? That's the only store I care about and I'm curious what it has to offer that NY doesn't.

I wish I could give an opinion but every time we go we end up at the Disney store and the wife disappears for a couple of hours. By the time I find her it's late and we head back to the resort. Wish I could see the rest.

We had just missed the town center opening when we were there this April. It's a nice evening walking around, especially if you're looking for some gifts to bring back, it's a great spot to wander and grab some snacks/drinks while you shop. I wouldn't consider it an all-day affair, but a nice evening stroll.
