Hey Gang, we did something like this for all of Disney World. Please list any favorite snacks or foods you like at IoA... in addition, I would also like for people to tell things to avoid. Also, I want to find out more about some of the restaurants they have. Thanks for all your help.

Last time we went, my wife was sick so we didn't eat anything from anywhere. I want to be prepared this year, so I don't miss out. We have already decided on a Green Egg and Ham Sandwich to split, and I have thought about a Dagwood or a Wimpy Burger. I am also curious about the restaurants for a sit-down meal in the afternoon (maybe Mythos or the Fantastic Four place).

Dagwood's is pretty good. I forget what it is called but they have a huge sub. A half of one fed my family of 4.:) Also the pizza is better than Disneys, and you can find the best pizza in the place where all of the food from different types of food are. I can't remember names at the moment. Mythos apparently has very good food. Lots of burgers and pizza. I'm going to try it next time I go.

I forgot mention the funnel cakes at the beginning of the park.(The only place that has them in the park) Also, there is a little place next to Dueling Dragons that sells the best pinapple things. It is a large cup, filled with piapple frozen yogert, with pinapple on top. They also have one with all strawberrys instead, if I remember correctly, but pinapple is better.

I know this isn't exactly within the IoA park, but I find it better just to walk outside to Margaritaville for lunch. That place has got the most amazing food and atmosphere.

My favorite place within the gates would be the Confisco Grill at the Port of Entry.

Mythos is the denoument of theme park dining.

You have an eloborately carved stone interior with all of the faces of the gods (including Hades mouth as the open flame grill), waterfalls cascading down the building's exterior, Atlas holding up the handrails, servers who are named after Demigods, and a wonderful panoramic view of the lagoon.

Not to mention, the food is incredible.

They beneift from a gourmet mix. While some dishes are on the high end with truffle topped this or that, they still actually know how to make a really good burger to please the "I don't want to try truffles!" one in your group.

Additionally, everything comes in very large portions. At Disney, i'm used to seeing a giant plate with a small amount of food eloaborately decorated in the middle. At Mythos, the food covers the majority of the plate (not smaller plates either!) and yet the attention to decoration and presention is still superb.

If you can do a midmorning "brunch" you'll practically have the place to yourself once it opens. It makes for a very quiet and intimate dining experience. During lunch hours it gets a small crowd (the place is the size of a real life restaurant and holds a good number of people) and can get noisey, but if its not too hot and humid, you can ask for an exterior table on the edge of the inland sea. Watch Hulk go around while you nibble on truffles.

Oh yes, their desserts are to die for.

So, my opnion: Eat at Mythos :)

Mythos is the greatest restaurant in any theme park...ever.

Where else is there a 5-star restaurant inside a park? NOWHERE!

All food at IOA is either at Mythos or Dagwood's. Dagwood's for lunch...gotta love those deli sandwiches.

Any other oddities at Seuss Landings, this seems like a great place to experiment with some exotics, but they may not since it's mostly a kid's area.

Try some Moose Juice or Goose Juice...I get some everytime I go :)

(Tastes like a mashed up popsicle...green or orange) (yummy)

Mythos is great. Go there for dinner. I noticed it costs just a little more for food there then a burger at any other place at IOA.

So you get a lot better food for a little more $$.

My family and I liked the "Cresent Moon Cafe".

Their breakfast was good! :sohappy:

I know it's not in IoA but Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville had some REALLY good drinks (might I suggest the Havanas & Bananas)...the food was decent too.

Oh yeah, that was good too! They had an "exploding volcano" inside the restaraunt. Very good quesidillas! <-- SP?

After the VOLCANO song...the sirens go off, the props on the airplanes start up and the volcano erupts...but it's not lava...it's a margarita!!! And the margarita trickles down the volcano into a giant blender!!! GOOD STUFF!

The Enchanted Oak was my fav..then again it was the only place I ate at in IOA. Great theming and food! Plus, it was right next to Dueling Dragons, which my brother wanted to do next. Great shelter because it started to rain while we were eating.
