Internet at Pop Century?

The info page here says Pop Century has telephone dial-up service. Really??! If that's still the case, does anyone know if there are hotspots nearby?

Hi, I stayed at PC last year and we used the dial-up because it was free. It actually wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. They did have a wire in the room for highspeed but it is a charge of $10 per day (last year). We were there 15 days and I really wasn't planning on spending my days in my room on the internet so $150 was crazy to me. I used the dialup and it worked perfectly for as much as I was really on.

The phone has a jack in the side to plug a phone cable into your modem. Then you just dial your ISP through whatever access number they have (assuming your ISP has dial-up access) You'll still pay a fee for the call, but if you have a local number or toll-free number, it's only like $1 per call.

Exactly why we just upgraded our phones to BlackBerry's with a new service plan. No more hauling the laptop to a vacation destination, paying a fee to have high speed access and adding a ton of money to our vacation budget. DH is self employed so he stays connected at all times. Our last trip we had a big probelm with a rental that burned to the ground (no one hurt) so he had to deal with a lot of stuff while there. It is hard to deal with at times but I have grown used to sharing him with work 24/7. Now, if we can avoid becoming addicted to our BlackBerrys then we will be okay .
