News Impressions de France Closing for Refurbishment at EPCOT in February 2026

If Impressions was good enough to be a stand alone attraction, BATB sing along wouldnt still be here drawing in more crowds than impressions did, I would imagine.

But I dont know all the data on that. And I am also biased against it because childhood me always thought it was boring. So. 🤷‍♂️

I have zero data to argue against you, but neither does anyone else so I just have to say,

Childhood me told my parents “I don’t want to go in any of those buildings they look boring” - those buildings being original figment and horizons.

But we rode the omnibus around world showcase and watched illuminations 1.0 so I can at least brag about that!
I have seen impressions 100s of times. I am okay now. 😂 I feel the same about Reflections of China... I just never got into the travelogue film stuff. Thats the only retro epcot stuff I am not passionate about.

Now, O Canada with Martin Short? I enjoyed that one. The new one? Meh.

I'd take Maelstrom and El Rio Del Tiempo any day, tho. Sad that those had to go but we still have these old movies.

Its ok. I have the generic Disney theme park tourist patrons, whom I dont usually care for, to back me up on this one. 😂 and this is the only case I will ever use them as an excuse and agree with them.

Me hating the travelogue films in Epcot is my only unpopular opinion on these threads. Lemme have it.

In all of our travels we’ve never done this. My wife and I are thinking of coming for Food and Wine and may need to rectify this.
It’s such a beautiful experience. I went to France as a teen as part of a multi European country summer abroad education trip and I got to visit some of the places in the film and it really strikes a chord with me emotionally. It’s a France of time gone by to be sure, but it makes me nostalgic for a version of a place I never saw until later.
