I think this is a good time of year to visit crowd wise. Will it be busy, somewhat but not like at holidays are middle of summer. EVen though you are not staying on site renting a car gives you some freedom so there are plenty of romantic dining opportunities at the various hotels. If you can swing it, Victoria and Alberts in the Grand Floridian is a very romantic evening, so is the California Grill in the Contemporary.

Congrats! I celebrated my honeymoon there as well - it's a magical place to celebrate your new marriage!

Some little tips:

-Wear the bride & groom mouse ears. We got lots of little unexpected extra magic things wearing them. Even if we hadn't, we would've had fun wearing them anyways.
-Be sure to get the "Just Married" free buttons, we wore those as well & had the same results as above.
-Book a nice dinner. We liked California Grille during Wishes. We were lucky enough to get a window seat - it's breathtaking. The music is piped in, it's such a beautiful view.
-Drive over to Port Orleans and take a horse & carriage ride around property.
-Head to the Boardwalk in the evening. We loved taking a romantic stroll around the loop.
-Spend one night watching Wishes from the beach at the Polynesian. It was fairly quiet on the beach far to the left of the castle, and we caught the water pageant too.
-Be sure any restaurant you go to knows that you are celebrating!

Have fun!!

We just honeymooned there in June. LOVED it. My only tip? Try not to cram it all in at once. Make sure you take time to relax, even if that means going back to the hotel for a while. Enjoy it! --- Take lots of pictures too. We did not take enough, and it's all you have when it's over! :)

Thanks for the info- and congrats on your new little Princess!!!
I wonder if you (or anyone else) knows if it is worth the $ if only the bride wears the ears?
I'm thinking it will be fun, but what sort of magic did you encounter wearing them?

Definitely go for dinner at California Grill. We liked walking around at night at the Polynesian, very romantic. Get the "just married" buttons and the hats. My DH didn't want to wear his everywhere, but Iwore the bride one and we got free desserts, drinks, and special attention. It was fun!

Congrats. My lovely bride and I honeymooned at WDW almost 9 years ago. We stayed at the WL in one of the honeymoon suites. Had a blast. If you both have been before, I highly recommend focussing on some of the tours. We also did a dinner at Victoria and Alberts, but were not overly impressed. Make sure and get either the wedding ears or the wedding buttons. You will get some nice congrats and some special attention at some of the sit downs from the servers. Nothing large scale, but nice none the less.

My wife and I honeymooned at WDW almost 14 years ago. We had dinner one night at Victoria & Albert's, she had a spa afternoon at the Grad Floridian, and I had a round of golf at one of the courses (I can't recall the name). We did stay on property though, at the Yacht Club, so those events were part of our honeymoon package. But I would still recommend V&A for a lovely dinner, and make sure you tell everyone you're on your honeymoon. :)

And although the Flower & Garden Festival will be going on, I don't think you'll see too much in the way of crowds save perhaps on the weekend at EP. I'd enjoy the festival during the week, then perhaps visit another park on the weekend to avoid those crowds. Either way, I'm sure you'll both have a wonderful time!

First of congratulations! We honeymooned last October in WDW. Question.. are you going right to DW after the wedding? The reason I ask is because we left a day after the wedding and we were just drained. We had been go go go and when we finally caught up we got sick! Two days in the the honeymoon we each caught colds! :brick: We next to never get sick either. Seriously. It wasn't a horrible cold but just made us very tired a lot. We wanted to do so much and slept a lot and late. Lots of kleenexs. It was a huge pain. My best advice is to take it slow. Disneymoons should be different than standard Disney trips. Spend more pool times and relaxing. By all means go nuts in the parks but don't cram it all in at once.

Enjoy and stay healthy! Drink lots of tea before you fly and when you get there. Organic Echinacea pills don't hurt either. They help strengthen your immune system.

Me and my hubby honeymooned at disney in december and it was utterly fantastic!!
Definitely buy the ears- we wore them all day on our first day and we were congratulated so much and it was lovely!

Just enjoy walking around the parks together and plan on what you would really like to do.
We did everything we wanted and had the best time ever!!

ENJOY! xxx

Best decision we ever made...we got engaged and had our honeymoon at WDW. I would say do it at one of the resorts. If you stay at Boardwalk/Beach Club/yacht club you could propose on the bridge between boardwalk and beach club while the fireworks are going of in Epcot. They also have a pavilion where they do weddings that looks at the water. At night when all the lights are on its beautiful.
